10 Thoughts I Had During Rush

Anyone who's ever been through formal recruitment knows what an exciting and nerve-racking experience it can be. After deciding to go Greek, potential new members go into the situation without knowing what they're really getting themselves into, and before they know it, will be making one of the biggest decisions of their lives. Here are some of the thoughts I had as I went through this crazy, emotional, and sparkly experience.

1. What is a Pi Chi? When you go through formal recruitment, you are assigned a "Pi Chi," who is a sister that temporarily gave up her letters in order to be neutral and help you during your decision process without being biased.

2. I don't completely understand this whole "sisterhood" thing, but I'm pretty sure I want to be a part of it.

3. OMG, their walls are pink.

4. I love my Pi Chi! Please be a sister at the sorority where I end up!

5. Any sorority girl that you ask why she chose the letters she did will say, "I just felt like I was at home with these girls." Is that what this warm fuzzy feeling in my stomach is?

6. Why is this speech about these people I don't even know making me tear up?

7. Please like me as much as I like you!

8. Is it too early to practice the cool little hand signs?

9. Is suicide as crazy as it sounds? Suicide is a term for when you don't have a second-choice house and you only go for one.

10. 12 hours until Bid day ... 11 1/12 hours ... 10 hours ... 10 minutes ...
