Schools out (or almost out) for summer! Finally, you can soak up some vitamin D and stop stressing about school work. Sounds like a dream to be home for summer, right? Not quite...
Below are ten things that you will miss about college when you are home for the summer, as told by Grey's Anatomy.
1. College friends.
Of course your home friends will always be your A1 day 1's, but your college friends know you to a whole other level. They have seen you literally in your best and worst times. If you're one of the lucky few, your college friends live close to home. However for most- your college friends live miles and miles away.
2. FREEDOM.
It's always nice to be home with mom and dad after being away for so long, but having to tell your parents where you are and where you are going every second of every day starts to get real old real quick. Parents will just never understand that it's normal to "go out" at 12 a.m., because that's when everything is just getting started.
3. The Food.
....and no I'm not talking about the dining hall food. Almost every school has that iconic food place that just isn't comparable to anywhere else. What am I supposed to drunk eat when I'm at home???
4. Sports.
Whether you play them or watch them, summer turns in to a hiatus from any type of college sport.
5. The Bars.
Lets just face it- hometown bars cannot even remotely compare to college bars.
6. And the bar prices.
You mean you don't have dollar drink specials???? How is this broke college student supposed to afford $8 drinks??
7. Extra curricular activities.
Because what even is free time?
8. Being away from your hometown.

9. Being in control of what you eat.
Because in college, it's acceptable to eat pizza, wings, ice cream, and french fries all in one day. At home...not so much, especially when you're trying to perfect that summer bod.
10. Your room.
Whether it be your first dorm room, or your single room in an apartment- your room at school has become so special that you can't imagine any other person ever living there.
