Finals are here, and with exams -- or responsibility in general -- comes laziness and the deadly procrastination. We schedule and we plan and we drink gallons on gallons of caffeine. We search for vacancy in the sea of students that is the library. We turn off notifications to resist distractions. But no matter how much we try to avoid it by being good noodles, we always find ourselves back in the Procrasti-Nation.
1. We browse social media.
Just one more YouTube video.
2. We clean everything.
I can’t study if my space is a mess!
3. We bother our roommates.
Hey roommate, what are you up to?
4. We watch Netflix.
Next episode starts in five...four...three...two...
5. We make lists / schedules of things we have yet to do.
Then I’ll know exactly what I have to do!
6. We take naps.
Can you wake me up in 15 minutes?
7. We stare mindlessly and think about life.
Even this is better than studying.
8. We eat.
Can’t study on an empty stomach!
9. We go shopping.
Just until the beginning of the new hour. I’ll start at exactly 11 a.m.
10. We read articles like this one.
How do you procrastinate?
