First off I want to start off by saying thank you for allowing me to be apart of your life. I know I am not the easiest person to handle, specially when I'm having a bad day. We have both realized that some of our old, "friends," were never real friends. Thank you for not being a fake friend. Some friends were not the right ones for us. Sometimes someone is toxic to you, but not to others. Thank you for being a positive person in my life. Often we get so caught up in this crazy thing called, Life that I forget to remind and thank you for ten simple things.

1. You have made me a better person.

I remember the first time we met, apparently I gave you dirty looks, but as you know I have RBF. It was sophomore year and I was the new girl. I sat with a bunch of girls that I came to realize were the worst friends to have. We had a project in art were we had to tape each others hands, I walked up to you and asked if you could tape my hand. WOW, isn't that an awkward start to a friendship. We instantly become close and had so much in common, but also were so different in many ways. I was the crazy, outspoken, trouble maker, as you were the quiet, talented, and sweet girl. Being friends with you for the past six years I still promise I didn't make you the crazy girl you became. I can say we have both rubbed off on each other. I hope you understand that I want you to be the best person you can, and I'll always have your back.

2. You always know what I need to hear.

Having a bad day? well your the first person to know. Somehow no matter what the problem is you know exactly what to say and how to handle me. The cutest thing you have ever said to me was, "Your just a Disney princess going through her sad scene." I think you also told me once that, " You could have a thousand STD's, but still be the best person I know." Not sure how an STD came up in this conversation, but this just shows how random we are. I hope I always tell you what you need to hear.

3.You are not just my friend, your my family.

When we bring a new person over your house, your sister always offers them a drink, and I joke saying, "oh I'm not thirsty or anything." See I've been over so many times that I'm not a guest anymore. I know where everything is, and I basically live there most weeks. Family doesn't just have to be blood. Thank you for allowing me to be apart of your family. I hope you never feel left out around my family.

4. Thank you for allowing me to be honest with you.

I love how honest we can be with each other, but never get mad. This allows me to trust you more. Sometimes we say things to each other that we don't want to hear, but we need to hear it. Thank you for telling me which clothes makes me look bad, and for telling me when I'm wrong in a situation. Even in the situations when I'm wrong thank you for supporting me still. I hope you know i'll always support you.

5. You have been there for me when life went wrong, and you have kept me going.

We build each other up. We both have dealt with depression and anxiety, but we have both done such a good job helping each other through. When we feel like crap, we don't even have to explain the craziness inside our heads, we understand each other. I hope you realize you will never be able to push me away when your upset and wanting to be alone.

6. Don't wish your life away.

We have always dreamed about the future and we made dreams together. Many days we tell each other how we can't wait for certain days or for our next day off. I hope you enjoy everyday, and one day you have everything you ever wished for.

7. You are not your emotions.

I know sometimes you don't feel your best, but I promise you , you're more then your emotions. There are days that you don't feel good enough, but I wish you seen yourself the way I do and your family does. You may not feel better in a day, or days, even months or years, but I know everything will fall into place, just give it time. I hope you understand you're more then your feelings.

8. Pick your battles.

Funny I would say this, isn't it? Because you were always the one telling me this in High School. I never knew how to let things go and I always got in trouble over it. I hope you take your own advice and you realize not everything needs an reaction. But, when that time comes and you start a battle, you know together we will finish it.

9. Always stay true to yourself.

Now a days on social media there telling people you need to look a certain way to be beautiful, or be a certain size to wear certain clothes. Don't you dare ever feel you need to change yourself. I hope you understand you're beautiful in your own skin.

10.I love you and you are loved.

I know when you get into your moods you feel alone, but you're not. When you make mistakes you can often feel like people get angry with you, but they only want whats best for you. I mean even if they don't know whats truly best for you. I don't even consider you a best friend anymore, you're my sister, and you won't ever be able to get rid of me. Because, "Ohana means family. Family means nobody gets left behind or forgotten." - Lilo & Stitch

Lastly thank you for saving me from myself. When we met I was going through a tough time in life, but you made me realize all the wonderful things in life. I finally knew what a true friend meant. Thank you for never allowing myself to talk negative about myself. I am the worst critic in my life, and tho I'm still this way you made me better. I'm so lucky to have a friend like you in my life. I know your leave sparkles wherever you go.

"Because I knew you I have been changed for good." -Wicked

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
