10 Things I Want In A Husband

Ever since I was a little girl, I had dreams of my wedding. But as I got older I started to mentally plan out my life: find a guy, date for a few years, be engaged for a year, then get married. But with my bad luck and pickiness, I have not found my Prince Charming, yet -- at least not that I know of. I am currently single in my senior year of college. But, I am not in such a rush because lately I have just been stressing about post college life and jobs, and not so much boys. But don't worry, I am still looking.

Here is a list of 10 things I want in a guy as my dream husband. I'm really not asking for too much, and I am sure every girl can agree with all of these.

1. A future.

Someone who wants to spend the rest of their life with you. We are no longer in the hook-up stage in our lives. It may not be time to settle down right this second, but it is time to think about when you will be ready for a future.

2. A sense of humor.

Who doesn't like to laugh? I know I do! No one wants to live a dull life without laughter, so find someone funny and exciting.

3. The need for a big, crazy family.

I am a typical girl and know the exact amount of children I want -- call me crazy. I want a large, fun family. I want an even number of children for the rides at Disneyland.

4. A huge heart.

I want him to love the world around him.

5. A strong work ethic.

He doesn't have to be the main breadwinner of the family. But I want my husband to be driven for greatness and happiness for us and our family. I want my husband to have goals and ambition.

6. Adventurous.

I love adventures. Who doesn't love spontaneous adventures? They're fun and exciting!

7. Lots and lots of love for me.

This is pretty self explanatory. I want him to like me! Marriage without love is so empty.

8. Chivalry.

He doesn't have to kiss the floor I walk on. Just open a door every once in awhile, plan a date night, and be loyal.

9. Patience.

The key to a lasting marriage is patience. Being able to listen to one another and understand the other's point of view.

10. The perfect amount of weirdness.

I am so weird. Everyone has a very weird side. Don't hide it, embrace it. Let's be weird together.
