Everyone tells you it doesn’t matter if you fight when you are young, she will be your best friend when you are older. And hey, you learn a lot from her whether you can admit it or not!

1. Asking for permission is a must

Walking into her closet when she is not at home to do a quick shop before you head out is a very risky move. When you post to your snap story or Instagram with her shirt on, you should probably take it off immediately and run.

For some reason, what's yours is mine does not work with sisters and clothing.

2. Always being compared is annoying

She goes to a new school and soon after, you are there in a matching uniform walking alongside her. When you have the same teachers and they can’t seem to get your older sister’s name out of their mind so they constantly compare and confuse you with your sister, you will learn to have subtle difference.

“Well she got an A in this class and her teacher loved her” or “she got her haircut and it looks really healthy” These comments will drive you crazy. We are extremely different and it’s important for people to know!

3. Not seeing the resemblance but being told all the time how much you look alike is weird

You simply won’t see it to the full extent. Like you totally look related and have that special ability to take really good photos together but you are not twins or anything. Some people also just saw how much you look alike in an attempt to compliment both sisters (sometimes it works).

4. Parents always leave her in charge (even though you are more responsible)

This is always the worst news. Why does she get to be in charge? She is going to be bossy and annoying and pretend like she is literally your parent just because she is 2 years older. Once you're old enough you both can just stay at home alone, the older sister will forever still act in charge in all circumstances.

5. Sharing a bed is a battle

Especially when it is forced. It’s like sharing a bed with a friend except less friendly and more kicking and fighting. The bathtub is always an option.

6. She gets first pick of everything

Born first, goes first. If you both ever need to choose something she gets the first say because she is older. But that also means that she is the guinea pig which actually sounds terrible.

7. You get hand-me-downs for days

Which are not the worst when your sister has cute style but kinda sucks when you just want fresh, new YOU clothes. Sometimes you want to copy her look and getting (or borrowing with PERMISSION) a cool top makes your day. Boy, have I learned that lesson.

8. She gives great advice because chances are she has done it before

Anything you don't want to chat with your parents about an older sister is the ideal gal for help. But be careful what you tell her because some older sisters can be snitches. When they are not and they help you through a crazy night or drama there is nothing better than that bond.

9. You’ve got a built-in friend

Apart from some difficulties here and there, your sister is always there for you. She will give the honest opinion on an outfit or Insta and she will not judge for your mistakes. She will always be your sister.

10. Once you're apart you will miss all the previous things above

Yea some of this is negative and basic, but when your sister is abroad in Europe and you're away at school for the first time you will miss it ALL.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
