You know that place you've always wanted to go or restaurant you've always wanted to eat at? The time to do it is finally arriving. School is almost out, and you're returning home for the summer with nothing but time on your hands.
If the only thing you say when someone asks you what you did this summer is "You know... nothing really," then my friend, you're doing summer all wrong!
Follow this bucket list and make it a summer to remember:
1. Go to the beach.
Because who could pass up a day of toes in the sand?
2. Go to an amusement or water park.
Because sometimes you just need to scream!
3. Have a bonfire and roast marshmallows.
You'll go home smelling like smoke, but it's worth it for the yummy goodness of a perfectly cooked s'more.
4. Attend a concert or music festival.
Whether you have the time to dedicate four or more days to a festival or only one night at a concert, look for your favorite artists and attend one of their shows.
5. Watch fireworks.
This will most likely be on the Fourth of July, but make sure you don't miss them!
6. Read a book.
Sure, school is over, and you've probably sworn off reading for the summer, but find a book that interests you and read it when you're out by the pool or on the beach. You won't regret it!
7. Go on a hike.
Because walking to discover picturesque views makes it the most rewarding exercise.
8. Have a picnic.
With your best friend or your summer fling, take a picnic basket with sandwiches and drinks and just enjoy the beautiful weather together.
9. Go miniature golfing.
Although it could end up a little something like above, a little friendly competition is good for you!
10. Take a road trip.
While the long drive may be intimidating, it's the perfect time to really get to know someone, because it's only them and you and the open road!
All in all, don't waste your summer. Take a trip, do something new, make your own bucket list! It will fly by, so get out there, and start planning a summer to remember!
Happy summer, everyone!
