Spring break is almost here! The week we have all been waiting for. Classes were stressful, midterms are over, and we need some time to relax before the last stretch of the spring semester. Here are some affordable places you can go to this spring break, in no particular order.
1. Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
When you hear spring break, you hear Myrtle Beach. It's just one of those things that you should experience for yourself. It's a good place for you to get some sun and sand.
2. Daytona, Florida
If you want to enjoy nice, sunny weather then Florida might be the place for you. Daytona Beach is a pretty famous beach, which is perfect if you want somewhere where there will be tons of people.
3. Cancun or Playa del Carmen, Mexico
If you want to get as far away as possible from your school work without going too far, Mexico seems like a good choice. Beautiful tourist destinations such as Cancun or Playa del Carmen will be a breath of fresh air.
4. South Padre Island, Texas
If you're looking for a party, this is the place to be. South Padre Island is described as having some of the biggest parties in the nation, so if you want to spend your Spring break hopping from party to party, this destination is for you.
5. New Orleans
If you're looking for a destination rooted in music, food, and a good time, then you've found it. Although it's not the beach scene, if you want more of a groovy scene, New Orleans is the place for you.
6. The Caribbean
If you want sun, sand, sea, and interesting cuisine, then you need to come to the Caribbean. Take your pick of any of the islands in the Caribbean for the time of your life, living it up as a real tourist.
7. Big cities, particularly New York
If you've never been to the Big Apple, or any big city, then Spring break is a good time to do it! They might be less crowded because people will be going to the beach for spring break, so it's the perfect opportunity to get some shopping done.
8. Skiing in Vermont
Some people like the snow and snow-related activities, and they don't want to see winter coming to an end. So, for spring break, it might be a good idea to get your last bit of winter in. Going skiing, especially in a place as beautiful as Vermont, sounds like a good idea for you!
9. Road trip
A friend or family-bonding activity that you could do for spring break is going on a road trip. A week is a long enough time to go to your destination and enjoy the view along the way.
10. Stay home
Maybe the best thing to do is to just stay home. Take the time to relax and de-stress from your school work. But when you're done with that, use some of the time to get ahead of your classmates, and work on class assignments.
Whether you want to spend your spring break on a beach, partying, shopping, relaxing, or even studying there are always options for you. Have a great spring break!
