Best friends can come and go through out your life, but when you find the perfect match or matches, you'll know. There are a few things that set apart friends from best friends.
1. There is nothing, but the truth.
It takes a special kind of relationship to get past the surface. Your best friend not only knows when there is something bigger going on, but they really don't have to force you to say it either. You know they are there for anything, no judgement.
2. Jealously is eliminated.
There is no need for the high school drama when someone is "talking to your best friend." You know that your relationship is strong so you have no reason to be overbearing and worried.
3. Knocking is optional.
Their home is your home and boundaries aren't really a thing. They aren't answering your texts? Here you come, uninvited and unannounced into their room.
4. Sarcasm is understood.
If an outsider read your texts, then they would probably think you are full on bullying each other, but you know that it is all with love.
5. You feel weird if you haven't talked in awhile (or a day).
After about 24 hours, you end up sending them a text just checking to make sure they are alive.
6. There is no such thing as a dull moment.
You can turn any situation into one that you will look back on years from now and remember.
7. You feel each other's pain.
When they are upset, you feel it, when they have a broken heart, yours is too. You'll never have to face the dark side alone because you know your best friend will be there to carry half the weight.
8. You want them to succeed.
We all have that one "friend" who is always secretly wishing for you to fail. With your best friend, you never have to doubt their support.
9. They are your constant.
When everything else in the world seems to be falling apart, you know they will be there. Your friendship holds steady even when everything else doesn't.
10. There is no need to fake it.
They would know if you were hiding something, but there is never the need to in the first place. They won't judge you and will love you through anything that comes your way.
Best friends are hard to come by, but when you do, you know. You were brought together to support and push one another to be the best versions of yourselves that you can be. Friends are great, best friends are better.
