There are pros and cons, but mainly cons.

10 Things That Make You Want To Drop Out Of College

As a college student, there are many things that you have to deal with. For example, dealing with a class that has a heavy workload or deciding whether or not you want to keep or drop a hard class like economics. There are many things that we go through on a weekly basis that make us want to drop out of college. Not literally...but we obviously think about how life would be without all of the stress from our professors, parents, peers, and even ourselves at times. I decided to make a list of the top 10 things that many college students (like myself) found annoying/make you honestly want to give up on the investment of your future.

1. When your professor calls on you to answer a question you don't have the answer to

OK, we have all been in this situation and there's honestly no easy way to get out of it. As much as you are silently praying that your professor doesn't call on you he does, and when he does you feel the need to have the correct answer so you don't feel like an idiot. Or sometimes you are so deep in thought of what you will have for dinner that you forget what they even asked in the first place, leaving you absolutely clueless.

2. Group projects.

Because nothing is worse than being assigned group projects...with randoms in your class. You're probably in shock that you didn't at least one person you know or even one of your friends in your group. Or maybe even in shock that your professor would even think about assigning group projects. Not to mention that these projects are perhaps the most annoying projects that you are required to do in college. I personally hated them in high school, and still hate them in college. Nothing is better than knowing you and maybe one other brave soul are going to be the only ones carrying "the team" on your backs.

3. Running on minimal hours of sleep.

Cramming for exams are a must in college in order to succeed. Living in a world where grade point averages matter but don't define you is tough. The more time you spend doing something the less time you have to sleep. "I'm tired", is probably the most overused sentence in college. Finding the balance between work, school, and sleep is hard especially when you throw in time to hang out with friends, shopping, and Netflix/me time. Almost every college student is looking to throw in a nap somewhere in their schedule.

4. Money, money, money.

College is expensive. Going to the bookstore is basically a death wish to your bank account. No one has got the funds to buy an overpriced book. Thankfully Amazon and Chegg have our backs and can make them a little more affordable. When you add up all of your spendings it really makes you want to cut back on the little things. Like buying groceries you'll actually eat that wont go bad in a day, or even giving up soda if you decide you're on a health kick that week.

5. Campus Wi-Fi.

Nothing is more annoying than trying to finish a quiz or research paper at the library when the wi-fi is slow. Slow internet is equally as bad as the annoying girl at the party that talks way too much and everyone is trying to avoid.

6. Walking to class in below zero weather.

Time to wear every possible piece of clothing you own in order to not freeze when you walk to class! Living in the Midwest where cold weather is inevitable, you have to dress warm. It's not an option. They don't want you to be warm, I promise you.

7. Long, boring, and halfway useless lectures.

Nothing makes me want to pull my eyes out than a lecture that runs over the time we are supposed to meet. Or even if they're really long boring lectures and you're trying your hardest to stay awake. I understand they have a schedule their supposed to follow but so do we. Especially when we have to drive to work right after class. Being a few minutes late isn't terrible but 20 minutes is pretty bad.

8. When your professor says there isn't a curve on the test.

You've studied all week long for a test in a class you know you won't do well in. You try your hardest and even seek help from a tutor or friends who have taken the class. But absolutely nothing is worse than having your test handed back to you and hearing, "Oh, by the way, I decided not to curve the grades." Congrats, that 79 percent, could have been an 80 percent.

9. Parking tickets.

Like honestly, do the ticketing people ever have anything better to do that give an innocent, broke, college student a ticket? We already have a ton of bills to pay and other expenses to take care of. A little $10-$15 ticket is just a nuisance. Especially when you forget to move your car to the opposite side of the street.

10. Late Friday classes.

When you're setting up your schedule you think to yourself, "Oh, a 2 p.m, class on Friday isn't terrible," but it definitely is. All of your friends are busy running errands and getting ready to have fun on that Friday afternoon while you're stuck in class learning about literature or how mitochondria is the power house of the cell. Not fun.

Overall, I definitely applaud all of us who have stuck with college despite all of the annoying things that come with it. With good days there are bad and we definitely have to appreciate both! Think about the amazing feeling of finally having a college degree, sure the debt that we will be in will suck from student loans, but finally being able to have the career you've always wanted is worth the investment.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
