During spring break, it's typical for college students from all over the country to migrate south for a week. For those of us who go to a school with all four seasons, or maybe even just the year round season of winter, this week of heat can be a lot to take in. This was exactly the case for me this past spring break, as I was used to the Wyoming wind, yet was awakened by the Arizona heat for an entire week. Here’s a few thoughts that I may or may not have exaggerated, but definitely seem pretty accurate with my experience:
1. At first you think, “Oh my gosh, I LOVE this weather! Why didn’t I choose to go to college here where it’s warm 24/7?!”
2. “I love the sun, the heat, this weather, everything! It’s so nice out. Oh, it’s snowing back home? Ha, that sucks.”
3. *drops down to 75 degrees* “It’s a little chilly today, I just want it to be warm again.”
4. *stops and thinks to self* “No, stop. This isn’t cold at all. You’re used to walking to class in snowstorms, this is nice.”
5. *heats back up* “It’s so hot out, could someone please bring me 500 gallons of water?!”
6. “I love the whole "shorts" weather, but dang it’s hot out right now. I think I might actually, literally die.”
7. “Someone please direct me to the nearest pool ASAP. If not, I’ll just lay on the ground maybe.”
8. “This heat is killing me minute by minute, can we get it back down to 75 degrees or something?”
9. “Oh we’re leaving today?” *secretly a little bit relieved because you definitely won’t die from heat stroke now*
10. *gets back to cold, below freezing college town* “I’m cold."
