Ah, the outgoing introvert. It's almost like a paradox, isn't it? How can you be outgoing if you're an introvert? The two seem to make no sense when they're paired together - an outgoing person loves to be, well, outgoing, while the introvert wants to keep to themselves.
I've been called an outgoing introvert many times in my life, and it took me a while to realize what it was. An outgoing introvert is someone who can go out and have fun in public, and interact with people, but doesn't really like to. If you're an outgoing introvert, or think you might be, these next ten things just might resonate with you.
1. Being out (at the mall, a fair, party, etc.) is fun, but only for a little while. After a while, it's like, "Okay, let's go home guys."
2. Big friend groups aren't your thing. You have, at most, three friends you can hang out with without becoming emotionally drained.
3. When you're talking to someone, they accuse you of flirting with them. Nope, not flirting, just naturally like this, and this is why I don't normally talk to people.
4. Most of your posts on Facebook/Twitter/Tumblr aren't even personal updates. You just had to share that gif of Drake doing Hotline Bling dressed like Ash Ketchum.
5. In group projects, everyone volunteers you to present, because you're "so good at talking." In all honesty, you just want to do this:
6. You want everyone to know when you've done something great, but you also don't want all that attention. Yep, guys, I cured cancer today... but don't look at me, okay? I don't like being the center of attention (that much).
7. Similarly, you like speaking up in class (because hello, participation points!) but you hate having people stare at you.
8. Weekends are super stressful. Do I party? Do I Netflix? Augh!
9. Coffee shops and libraries are your fav. Yeah, there are people there, but you don't have to talk to them.
10. Being around other people is great, but you'd much rather be curled up with a book or Netflix. Because who doesn't love Netflix?
