You stick out like a sore thumb, but you don't know how to do it any other way. We didn't choose the mom life, it chose us. No matter the friend group, here are 10 things that the mom of the friend group can understand:
1. You're always the DD
You've just accepted that everyone will end up piling in your car on the nights the group decides to go out. People are yelling over each other and you wonder if your sanity has left you, but you would rather be driving the crew over someone else.
2. You're the only one who questions things before doing them
Really, fam? You are normally the one saying "is this really a good idea?". And the answer to your question is normally no but all your friends are already off doing whatever it was.
3. You always seem to be the go-to person for any questions
People come to you for relationship advice, troubling problems, and to just get whatever is on their mind out. Just keep nodding and let them know that they are valued and you are always there for them.
4. Getting you to go out and have fun is the ultimate challenge
Okay, here is the thing, you don't really want to go out. Because that means staying up past your bedtime of like 10:30. So are you really sure you want me to come and be a party pooper?
5. You always have snacks
Your friend is complaining about how hungry they are and you just pull snacks out of your bag. Like, don't worry because I am always here for you fam.
6. You always come prepared
Get hurt? I got bandaids. Need a pen? I got like 10 extra. You are always the kind of person that plans out all the different scenarios in your head so you pack everything you could possibly need.
7. You're everyone's moral compass
Sometimes your friends just need a little push in the right direction. They know what they want but don't really want to say it, so you just say it for them.
8. You always try to go the extra mile
You want your friends to happy, so you always put in the extra work. Whatever it takes.
9. Your dream weekend has you acting like a grandma
Everyone is wanting to go out and you would be happiest just staying home and reading a book or watching Netflix. May sound boring to other people, but to you, that is the perfect weekend.
10. At the end of the day, you love being the mom of the group
Taking care of your friends can be a chore at times, but you couldn't imagine your life any other way. Being there for them gives you purpose in your already crazy life.
Be the mom of the friend group and be proud of it.
