Any American who lives in today's society has run in to some "first world problems". Whether we encounter struggles or are just doing everyday activities, we can all relate to these things that make up our modern American culture.

1. Dunkin Donuts vs. Starbucks

America is obsessed with coffee! Whether you are a student pulling all nighters to do homework, have a full time job, just need to wake up early, or you have become an addict, coffee is most likely your choice of energy. The two major companies that feed this addiction are always battling it out for our business. Some people have a personal preference on which company they side with, but for some of us it's a constant struggle to choose which company to go with.

2. The Apple Obsession

With technology advancing so fast the Apple company has been in the spotlight. Most Americans have some type of Apple product whether it's an iPhone, Mac computer, or even just a pair of speakers. There is no doubt that the Apple company is the go to when it comes to technology.

3. The Love of the American Flag

The American flag is everywhere you go! People fly them in front of their homes, outside of businesses, and in schools. This flag is also commonly found on clothing like T-shirts, hats, and bathing suits. Everywhere you go you see the appreciation for America.

4. Netflix

Netflix is a current obsession in America. People binge watch TV show series on this streaming site for hours on end and even sneak some time in at work or school. People who don't have their own account often use their friend's or family's logins to get in on the Netflix epidemic.

5. Football

Even if you have no idea what is going on in the game, you still watch football. In high school most schools gather on Friday nights to watch your school play local towns or you go to your homecoming game. Some colleges or universities are well known for their competitive football teams and some college stadiums can have a capacity as large as 107,601 people. Most people turn on the TV on Sunday's and many holidays to watch NFL games and cheer on their favorite teams.

6. Driving With Fools

We've all had that struggle of running into those idiots on the road. Everyone hates to come across those people who ride you, go too slow, don't use there blinker, cut you off, don't look when merging or just don't pay attention. Even if you're just trying to go to work, school, or down the street it can be very annoying.

7. Social Media Addiction

Instagram, Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest are all apps that most millennial Americans check at least once a day. Most people don't know why they're so obsessed with these social sites but they find themselves mindlessly messing around on them when they're bored.

8. Shopping Malls

Americans all across the country do their shopping at malls. There massive outlets are commonly visited for birthdays, Christmas, or even just for leisure shopping. Some of our favorite stores can be found here like Forever 21, Charlotte Russe and Lush.

9. Disney

Disney plays a prominent role in American society. Even if you have never been to Disney World in Florida or Disney Land in California, you have most defintly seen a Disney movie or listened to the stories when you were younger.

10. Appreciating Our Veterans

Americans argue about a lot of things but one thing we can all agree on is this. It could be as little as saying thank you or making a donation, but Americans should always be thankful to the ones that have sacrificed everything for our freedom and safety.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
