Living in your sorority house can be one of the greatest experiences college can bring you. Spending every day around the women that share some of the same interests as you and the same friends can be a really fun experience.
However, everyone goes through something different when living in a house with a large number of girls. The size of your school, chapter, and house will determine that, but it goes to show that you get out of it what you put into it!
Now, while it can be a great time, you are still living with a bunch of other girls that are going through some of the same stuff you are. We all feel each others' pain and joy. These scenes of "New Girl" said it best, though.
The emotional stages you go through when the house syncs up for that 'time of the month.'
After a while, it just starts to get to you, as in, you can really empathize with them somehow...
How you feel waiting for dinner to be done.
When it's really cold or raining outside and you ask someone for a ride.
Having tons of wardrobes to choose from because you live with a bunch of girls that most likely love clothes as much as you do.
The feeling of pure joy when there is an event at the house that happens to require people to bring food with them... and then leave the extra.
The realization that you've been living there for a while and everyone in the house knows you too well.
You may think you're weird or have strange habits, but you will almost always get to know someone who is just as strange.
When you're having a crisis, you can always count on someone to be there for you, because there is always someone home willing to be a friend.
Despite the craziness that can ensue, you really are all like a family getting through it all together.
The women in your sorority are your sisters, which creates an amazing bond only one so lucky could have, but the relationships you build with the women you live with are one-of-a-kind and should be appreciated for all they are worth.
