Without my family and friends, break wouldn't have been the same.

1. Cooked for my family

This is something I did before I even left for college. There's something about making a nice quality dinner or dessert for my family that makes the break much better. My homemade chocolate chip cookies are to die for and this break wouldn't be the same without them.

2. Went out to eat

The first few nights of being home with my family we went out to eat many days in a row. It's nice to sit back and relax at a restaurant after four months of eating straight college cafeteria food. Now that I'm leaving, we must end it off with a nice family outing. Time for some unlimited soup, salad, and breadsticks.

3. Went shopping

My mom usually doesn't like being at the mall; however, I ended up being at the mall five different times within these two weeks of being home. That's an all-time high! With Christmas time being so nearby, I had plenty of chances to grab some awesome gifts and find a cute matching outfit with my sister.

4. Had a lovely Christmas time
Who doesn't love Christmas time? Well, maybe Ebenezer Scrooge; however, I love Christmas. Its a great time to spend time with family and generally everyone wants to be happy along with you. Whether you are out shopping the day before Christmas finding some last minute presents or even having Christmas dinner, Christmas time with the people you love is all you need in the world.

5. Made Youtube videos with my sisters...a.k.a made a fool of myself

There were a couple of times I wanted to strangle my sister for having to do a video for the hundredth time, but family is family. If it makes her happy that I dance along with her in a video, even though I can't dance. Who am I to say no to her happiness?

6. Made some decorations

My family never really did the whole making ornaments thing, but this Christmas being away from our home state, we decided to spice things up and add a little touch of home to our tree. I couldn't tell you how many hours I spent each day making a new ornament. Go Lions!

7. Played some video games

As I play at school a lot of the time, my sister received an Xbox One for Christmas. Following in my gaming footsteps, I had to let her in on all the cool tricks and kick some butt together on Call of Duty. She still needs a little work, but now I have someone to play with when I go back to school.

8. Meeting my mom's boyfriend

As happy as my mom seems, I finally got to meet her big famous boyfriend. Seeing her happy with him makes me happy. A great mother needs a great partner to keep up with her. He's pretty cool, but I've got my eyes on him at all times.

9. Hung out with my best friend from high school

I haven't seen my best friend in over a year! Every chance I had to see her, my plans somehow got ruined and another month went by. Now that the time had finally come, I am super happy that I got to catch up on some gossip and be around my second family. She's my sister from another mother.

10. See all kinds of family

Normally I would just see my sisters and mom. This break, I got to see all the other relatives I've missed as well. Some I haven't seen in over a year and others I've seen not that long ago. Either way, I'm extremely grateful that everything worked out this break to allow me to see everyone.

Without my family and friends, winter break wouldn't have been the same.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
