Being a college athlete is completely different from being a normal student. We worry about classes and assignments while traveling across the country to compete in sporting events that decide whether we reach our goals or fall short of them. When we aren't in class, we're on the field or the court training for the next big game. Or we're up early in the morning lifting weights and wishing we were still in bed. No matter what school we go to, there are certain things that every college athlete just knows to be true.

1. Coming back from a break and dreading your first practice.

It doesn't matter if you worked out over the break or not, you'll always be nervous for that first training session.

2. Going from weight lifting to class.

Standing up after class is the hardest part after leg day.

3. Eating a heavy lunch and then going to training.

You've never felt more sick in your life but there's no way you'll ask your coach to sit out.

4. Being on a road trip and realizing that you had homework.

Class? What's class??

5. Then struggling to get your homework done on the bus ride so that you can turn it in online when you reach the hotel.

You're just desperately hoping that your hotel has free wifi.

6. Returning from a road trip and doing the massive amount of laundry you have.

Everything just smells so badly!

7. Then, finally getting that one day off for recovery.

Everything is a bed when you're dead tired.

8. Appreciating showers more than you ever have in your entire life.

Warm water has never felt so good.

9. Realizing that all the weight lifting has started to pay off.

You can finally see one ab coming through!

10. Having awesome teammates and making memories!

Even though there can be arguments and fights, you all still work hard and love each other.
