Pink is the new Blog

Coffee, heartbreak, Paul Anka, oh my! These are just a couple of things any true Gilmore Girls fan would know and understand. This seven season long series about a small town mother and daughter who have the closest of relationships will make you laugh and most definitely make you cry and here are just a few more things a real Gilmore Girl fanatic would understand.

1. So many relationships.

There are numerous relationships, too many that we all become emotionally invested in and almost feel what they are feeling. The family relationships, friend relationships and the intimate relationships that we can't help but love…and hate.

2. The laughs.

Lorelai and Rory Gilmore and the wittiest gals around. They are constantly cracking jokes and making references to everything its hard to keep up with all the witty and sarcastic humor, but they know how to make the best out of the worst situations which we all love.

3. It is almost unrealistic how much coffee one person can consume.

There is not one single episode where these girls aren't drinking coffee and a lot of it. Secret little known fact is that actress Alexis Bledel who plays Rory Gilmore, actually hates the taste of coffee in real life and her cups were all filled with soda.

4. It makes us all wish we lived in a super small town.

Stars Hollow is the cutest home town with the cutest name. Everyone knows everything about everyone, they even have town meetings every week about all of the town happenings. You will be even more invested with all these adorable people as well.

5. Some characters play more than one characters, sneaky sneaky.

Lorelai's grandmother (Gran) passes away during the forth season but is also seen as Aunt Marilyn. Actress Sherilyn Fenn plays Sasha (Jess's stepmom) and Anna Nardini (April's mother). There are a couple more duplicates as well.

6. Adam Brody and Chad Micheal Murray.

Both adorable actors left the show, Dave (Brody) leaves to California, really to start the "Supernatural" series and Tristan (Murray) is shipped off to boarding school which is really to start the classic series "One Tree Hill".

7. Stars Hollow is a real place you can visit.

Really named Washington Depot in Connecticut, you can visit this charming little town with most of the same set up and places that are seen in the show!

8. Who is Paul Anka?

One of the biggest teen idols from the 50s, this famous singer and songwriter is also the name of Lorelai's pooch she adopts in season seven and has reoccurring dreams about both her dog and the famous singer.

9. The major heartthrobs that appear on this show.

Rory's love interests all throughout the who will make you swoon. Dean, the perfect first boyfriend is everything you could want and more, then she meets Jess the bad boy and Logan the love of her life she meets at Yale.

10. THERE WILL BE MORE GG!

Coming in November Netflix is airing four ninety minute episodes about the Gilmore girls and what are they doing and who they are dating now. We cannot wait.

This show means so much to so many people and these are just a few of the many things that anyone else with the Gilmore Girl obsession would know. Through all the laughter and tears this show makes us feel things, true love, sadness, even anger and series like this are the sole reason I feel no guilt paying $8.99 a month for Netflix. I cannot wait for the upcoming season and to binge watch in preparation and If you are reading this I hope you are doing the same thing.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
