Being tall has some major perks: You can see over everyone at a concert. While other people crane their necks to get a look at the band, you just have to stand there and you can see the whole thing! You are also able to reach the highest cabinets in the house without assistance. However, there are some drawbacks, like high-water pants and how everyone expects you to be a star basketball or volleyball player, but you're not. Here's some things that you can definitely relate to if you are a tall girl! Chances are, if you are above 5 foot 6, you've experienced all of these comments or struggles more than once:

1. Wow! You’re tall!

Surprisingly enough, tall people are aware of their height. We do not need to be reminded of our height every five seconds! Trust me, we are tall and proud of it!

2. Do you play basketball or volleyball?

Actually, shocking news, not all tall girls have the talent and/or coordination to be a basketball player or a volleyball player. Just because I’m 5 foot 11 does not mean that I can spike a volleyball or slam-dunk. I surprised many people by telling them that I was actually a ballet dancer, believe it or not.

3. Why are you wearing heels? You’re tall enough!

OK, this is the most annoying statement that can be made. Just because I am tall does not mean that I can’t wear my six-inch heels to prom. What’s wrong with making a tall girl even taller? I don’t see any rules against it, so lay off! I am confident being a girl over 6 feet in my sparkley gold heels.

4. How’s the weather up there?

Same as the weather down there! Apart from being an old joke, it is also completely irrelevant. The weather up here is the same as down there!

5. Hey, stretch!

Hey, shortie! Hey, if you're allowed to call me "stretch" because of my towering height, then I should be allowed to say, "What's up shortie? Or in your case, what's down?"

6. The struggle to find long pants is so real!

Hey, if Steve Urkel can rock high-water pants, so can we!

7. Can you reach that for me?

Top shelf, in the left corner. Of course, nothing my height can’t handle!

8. Watch your head!

After years of hitting my head on low-sitting branches and low doorways, I am more aware of my surroundings than any average-sized person around.

9. Where do you find long pants?

Every tall girl should rejoice for the existence of American Eagle online! Extra-long pants! It's a beautiful thing to have pants that are actually long enough to cover your ankles.

10. How do you sleep on a twin-size bed in college?

Correction, you don't! The bed is constantly uncomfortable and your feet and ankles are always cold because you refuse to sleep curled up in the fetal position.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
