Music is sometimes the only friend you have when you're going through a rough time. It is there for you when no one has the right thing to say. It is there for you when all you want to do is crawl up in a ball, watch rom-coms, eat ice cream and cry. Here are some songs to get you through whatever the problem is: whether it's a bad boyfriend, a bad break up, a friend and you fighting or you just feel alone in the world.
10. "Amnesia" by 5 Seconds of Summer
To be honest, I would hate to be the girl that this song is about. Hurting any of those adorable boys would break my heart. However, I'm pretty sure that every girl has had that one boy that's made her mascara run, especially when passing all of the places that were special to your relationship and everything else.
9. "Amazed" by Lonestar
This song is for those that are so truly, deeply and madly in love with their significant other. "Every little thing that you do, I'm so in love with you, It just keeps getting better." Who wouldn't want someone to think that about them?
8. "Fix You" by Coldplay
Coldplay has a special way of pulling at your heartstrings. "Fix You" is just one of those songs that you listen to when you need to cry. Lead singer Chris Martin wrote this song for his then-wife, Gwyneth Paltrow, whose father passed away in 2002. As the song states, "When you lose something you can't replace, When you love someone but it goes to waste, Could it be worse? Lights will guide you home, And ignite your bones, And I will try to fix you."
7. "I Drive Your Truck" by Lee Brice
Losing someone is one of the most devastating things you could possibly go through in life. However, the memories will never fade because you associate songs, movies, books or other things with the person you have lost. This song is that memory for some a lot of people.
6. "My Immortal" by Evanescence
This song is for those who grew up in the early 2000s. It was the embodiment of feeling like you are alone, with no where to turn and no one to talk to. It is a beautiful way of explaining how you feel.
5. "What Hurts the Most" by Rascal Flatts
Being brokenhearted is a horrible feeling. The feeling that the one person you once loved has suddenly stopped loving you. The whole situation is awful.
4. "A Thousand Years" by Christina Perri
This was part of the "Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn: Part One" soundtrack. Many have had first dances, first kisses and anything in between to this song. But, many have also had too many memories attached to the song, which brings on the tears.
3. "I'll Be" by Edwin McCain
If you ask any kids that grew up in the early 2000s, their first "song" with their first significant other was this song. Something about the lyrics just speaks volumes, "I'll be your crying shoulder, I'll be love's suicide. I'll be better when I'm older, I'll be the greatest fan of your life."
2. "Landslide" by Fleetwood Mac
Everyone is afraid of change, getting older, falling in and out of love and going from one stage of life to another. But this song, though sad, is still hopeful and understanding of all the change.
1. "Whiskey Lullaby" by Brad Paisley (feat. Alison Krauss)
This song talks about a lot of serious subject matters. The lovers of the song had both killed themselves. The lyrics sadly state, "He put that bottle to his head and pulled the trigger. And finally drank away her memory. Life is short but this time it was bigger, than the strength he had to get up off his knees. We found him with his face down in the pillow, with a note that said I'll love her till I die, and when we buried him beneath the willow, the angels sang a whiskey lullaby." The second chorus states the same, from the female lover's perspective.
