September is the perfect time for apple picking! It's never too early to stock up for applesauce, apple cider, and apple pie. Plus, the weather is beginning to get just as crisp as the fruit.

8. School supplies

Maybe I'm alone in this, but the beginning of September means stocking up on school supplies. I love an excuse to buy tons of pencils, notebooks, crayons, and the like.

9. Fresh pens and notebook

Since the weather is getting colder and the sun is setting sooner, we often spend more time indoors in the fall, which is a great time for writing and reflection. So, why not invest in some nice pens and a smooth leather-bound journal to fully enjoy the season.

10. Board games

It can be sometimes dreary when fall weather rolls around. But if journaling is a bit too isolating, board games are a great way to hang out with your friends on a chilly evening.

September goes by so quick, so take a moment and enjoy this lovely month of the year.

PS: Shoutout to all the Virgos and Libras!

Owning a pet can get difficult and expensive. Sometimes, their vet bills cost hundreds of dollars just for one visit. Besides having to spend hundreds of dollars on them, they provide a great companion and are almost always there when you need to talk to someone. For the past six years, I have been the proud owner of my purebred Bengal cat named Spock. Although he's only seven years and four months old, he's taught me so much. Here's a few of the things that he has taught me.

It's fun to see all of the selfies on social media, they are everywhere. I see pictures with pouty lips, duck lips and pucker lips. I see smokey eyes, huge fake lashes and nicely done nose jobs, boob jobs and butt lifts. Women working out in spandex, tiny tops and flip flops. I see tight abs and firm butts, manicured nails and toes, up dos and flowing hair. "Wow", I think to myself," I could apply tons of make-up, spend an hour on my hair, pose all day and not look like that. Maybe I need a longer stick!"
