10 Signs You're The Mom Of Your Friend Group
By Brianna Olson

Every girl in a group of friends takes on a role. Whether it is the crazy one, the calm one or the mother, each person takes their place. Sometimes, it's hard to figure out where you fall.

If this list of 10 things sounds familiar, then you are DEFINITELY the mom of your group.

1. Your friends ask you, "Do you have _______ in your purse?"

Yes, yes you do. Everything from a Tide-to-go pen to Aspirin, a hairbrush to breath mints. You already know you never leave the house without those things and they can thank you later.

2. You tell your friends, "Text me when you make it home!"

This is a scary, scary world especially at night, so us girls have to look out for one another! A lot can happen on the five-minute drive home and if you don't hear from them within 6 minutes, you'll send out the S.W.A.T. team.

3. You want to hear about your friends crazy night, even though it makes you cringe.

You're mad if they don't tell you about when they danced on the table, but you are embarrassed for them when they do.

4. You worry if your friends are eating enough.

You're always the one to make sure everyone is fed and they aren't allowed another drink until they have cleared their plate.

5. You hate the guys your friends' date.

You know what they deserve and you won't let them settle for less.

6. You always seem to embarrass your friends without realizing it.

Whether it's with your dancing or your bad jokes, they always seem to turn red when you are in public together. You're just trying to be *hip*.

7. You are in bed when everyone else is going out.

Last time you checked it was a Tuesday night?? Have them call you when it's Friday... and then we will see.

8. You brag about your friends' accomplishments like they are your own children.

You even show people pictures of them because they're just so darn cute.

9. You always text your friends reminders before going out.

Do you have your ticket? It's cold, do you have gloves? Don't forget your keys! You think of everything.

10. You put their needs above your own.

It's a blizzard outside but you'll drive through anything to bring them soup and crackers when they are sick.

If any of these things apply to you, then you are definitely the mother of your friend group. Someone has to be it, it might as well be you. Embrace it!

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
