10 Signs You Hate Going Out

Personally, I have always loved a good "night-in" rather than going out to a bar or club till 2 a.m., but then again I'm an introvert and generally prefer things that don't involve talking to a lot of people or exhausting my social energy in one night. Some nights out are really fun, but these are rare occasions. I always tell people I'm not anti-social but rather "selectively social." However, there are some people that genuinely hate going out whether that would be a to a bar, club, or party. Here are some signs that you hate going out:

1. You would rather cuddle up with a good book or a good cup of tea instead of going to a loud, hot club.

Look how smooth and inviting that tea is #TeaGoals

2. The sheer thought of getting ready to go out exhausts you.

Sometimes I think I should go out but then I think, mmm betta not.

Like having to shower knowing you'll be sweaty by the end of the night and will have to shower again.

*insert crying face emoji*

Putting on makeup and nice clothes.

Tina is my spirit animal.

3. The words "Pre-game" give you pangs of anxiety and dread.

"Ill just meet you guys there"

4. At a party you can be found sitting on your phone, avoiding conversations with strangers or playing with the host's pet.

In the immortal words of Channing Tatum circa "She's the Man": "Do you like cheese?"

5. Your friends sometimes refer to you as a "hermit" or "anti-social."

Seriously I'm just being "selectively social."

6. You've become a master of making up excuses to get out of going to things.

I have a paper due tomorrow. I have a dentist appointment pretty early in the morning. My stomach hurts. My head hurts. My fish died. It's too cold out. I'm already in bed.

7. You've also gone pro in the "Irish Goodbye" aka leaving a party or event early without saying goodbye to anyone.

Typical texts from your friends: "Hey! Where did you go?"

8. If you do go out, you usually lose your friends and spend the rest of the night texting them asking if they want to leave.

9:50 p.m.: Ready to go? 10:10 p.m. OK I want to leave 10:30 p.m.: Where are you? I'm so tired 11:00 p.m.: I'm calling the Über now 11:10 p.m.: It's here. I'm leaving you.

9. On weekend nights, you prepare yourself for the invites that you already know you're going to reject.

You: No. Friend: But you don't even know what I'm abo- You: No.

10. You wonder why people bother going out at all...like ever.

Seriously, why?

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
