10 Signs You Grew Up As A Tomboy

Not every girl has to grow up loving barbie dolls, dressing all cute and flowery, or sitting politely on the side of the street. Maybe you want to go roll around in the mud. Or play ball in the fields. Or even tear up that bright summer dress your mom “just happened” to get you. Either way, you weren’t mommy’s perfect little, cute, angel. I remember my mom always complaining about how I wouldn’t let her dress me up (especially considering I have an older brother). Well, sorry Mom, I was a tomboy and always will be at heart. This is for all you girls who know what I am talking about.

1. Bows or anything being in your hair was 100% illegal to you.

2. And so was wearing anything pink

3. You always played in the dirt/grass

4. You loved playing outside with a ball (or any sport really)

5. You genuinely loved watching the “boy” and violent cartoons

6. The last thing you wanted to be for Halloween was a princess or fairy

7. You hardly cared about your hair

8. You knew you could take on “the boys”

9. Sorry Mom, dresses are a no go

10. You’re still a badass to this day

Even Shonda Rhimes, winning creator and executive producer of the hit TV shows Grey's Anatomy, Private Practice, Scandal, How to Get Away with Murder, and The Catch agrees that relationships with fictional characters are real. That relationship was real."

Going to the gym and working out on a daily basis (with breaks once in awhile) has been a great way for me to feel good about myself. It is 100% more than just looking good. Especially after starting college and having the stress and anxiety of tests, assignments, and just figuring out my future, the gym at my school has definitely been a place of relief for me and I have numerous reasons of why everyone should push themselves to get to the gym when they can.

It is a time where one day you can feel like you are on top of the world and then the next day you are 500 feet below the ground surface.
