I know that I have the best roommate in the world, and it’s not just because she buys me things, which is a plus, but because she is there for me when I’m at my home away from home. I spend every day and every night with her and I never get sick of her. So, to my roommate, thank you, for everything, I love you.
1. She buys you Taco Bell on her way home from work.
I mean, who doesn’t want a Taco Bell surprise waiting for you on your desk when you get home from a late night meeting. It’s honestly one of the best parts about having a roommate, having someone to buy you food when they know you need it most.
2. She helps you with algebra when you just can’t figure it out.
I don’t get math, and she does, it was a match made in heaven. (Not me and math, me and her.)
3. She will come pick you up wherever, whenever, no matter what.
Whether I locked myself out of the room for the third time today or I am sitting in my car crying over some dumb boy, she is there for me, she will drop everything to be with me and help me.
4. You can barely be away from each other for even just a weekend.
I’ll go to Walmart for just an hour and I come back and I missed her so much and I have so much to tell her. That being said, breaks kill us.
5. She surprises you with gifts when you pass a test (even if it took you 5 times).
The best part of algebra (I can’t believe I just put those words together) is when I pass my test finally and I come home to a raspberry tea and a KitKat because my roommate is the sweetest person alive and saw how much I was struggling and decided to surprise me.
6. She knows that after class you’re going to want to nap, so she’ll nap with you so you don’t feel bad.
This one is pretty self-explanatory but when I get home from class, I am so tired and all I want to do is sleep, so we will take naps together so neither of us have to feel bad for not being productive.
7. She’ll meet you for lunch when you don’t want to eat alone.
I’m awkward and can’t eat alone the majority of the time, but I know she is always there for me to help me out and eat with me.
8. You can literally be doing anything and it will be a great time.
Even if that thing is spending seven hours in the emergency room or studying for a math test that you really aren’t prepared for, I enjoy every moment I get to spend with her.
9. She will motivate you to do things that you don’t want to do.
Basically, my algebra and going to class. I never want to do either but she is always there to make me do them even on the worst days when I don’t want to even get out of bed. She will forever have to keep me going but I will forever appreciate her for it.
10. You make plans for the future together.
Whether it be visiting her family over winter break, living together next year, or how you will haunt each other when you die. I am so ready for the future, because that means I get to spend it with her.
