Whether you've gone through many like I have, or already met your one true roommate, here are 10 signs you have the best roommate, or have had one of the best roommates!

1. They have your back when you fall, literally.

Whether you got wrecked by an icy hill, or just got simply too wrecked, they're there to pick you up and walk you home. When you are already home and fall out of bed to hit your head, they will laugh before they help you up into bed. They will drop everything they're doing to come get you. They're always trying to be there to catch you when you fall.

2. They clean up the messes made by others.

When you're sad about a relationship or a fling and crying in your bed, drowning yourself in Netflix, they will be there to jump onto your bed and tell you how much you deserve better and be there to wipe your tears when you're crying.

3. They always know the right time for ice cream.

With the messes, of course, they'll be right by your side to walk with you to go get more ice cream to stuff your face with after you're done crying.

4. They make breakfast for you.

I was lucky enough to be blessed with a roommate who did DIY overnight oatmeal and made me breakfast in the morning. She always asked me if I wanted some, what kind I wanted, all the specifics. I was really lucky to have someone who wanted to feed me, haha.

5. They pick up the grunt work.

When you're sick they are there to make you soup or donate a ginger ale to help aid you. They'll come to the store with you to buy medicine and will always be there to say "bless you."

6. They're considerate of when you sleep.

If you're a real sleeper like I am, they'll always be considerate of your sleeping habits. They'll turn the lights off and use their flashlight so you don't have to sleep with the light on. They will make sure to be quiet even if you're sleeping in until 1 in the afternoon.

7. They will help you clean up after you make a huge mess.

Whether you knocked over your drink, or your lemonade mix exploded all over the floor, even when it's not their mess, they're there to help you clean it up or even clean it up for you.

8. They won't let you make mistakes if they can help it.

You've had quite the wild night and are trying to make it to the bathroom without shower shoes, your pants, and your shirt? They have your back. Trying to run away? They have your back. Trying to text that boy? They are there to try and prevent mistakes.

9. They'll actually listen to your problems.

Even in the last hours of the night while you're both in bed, they'll listen to you moan and groan about all your issues and be there to reassure you that it's all going to be okay.

10. They provide you with endless snacks.

Enough said.

There you have it! 10 signs you have an amazing roommate. Hope you all get to experience at least one good roommate in your college career!

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
