1. When something exciting happens, your mom is the first person you call.

2. You lie to your friends that you can't hangout, but you are really hanging out with your mom. 

3. You are not afraid to hold your mom's hand in public.

4. Your mom is the one who is embarrassed to be seen with you in public, not the other way around. 

5. Your mom gets an entire collage on Instagram for her birthday.

6. Sometimes, the only person you want to talk to is not your boyfriend or your best friend -- it's your mom.

7. You can't wait until you are old enough to go out, just so you can go out with your mom.

8. People talk about how embarrassing their moms are, and you are just like, "My mom is cool."

9. She is the first and last person you text every day. 

10. And, finally, you realize that going to a school five hours away from home is just too far because you miss your mom too much. 

A special shout out to my beautiful mother who I am definitely too close with, but I am totally okay with it.
