Almost everyone can relate to the idea of retail therapy. Sometimes after a rough few weeks you need a good trip to the mall with your closest friends. The point, however, where retail therapy turns into a problem is the difference between impulsive purchases and compulsive purchases.

1. You have 17 pairs of jeans and they're all a little bit different.

They all contribute something different to each potential outfit and you still need every single one. Even the bright yellow size 00 that you haven't fit into since 2014.

2. You have clothes in your closet that still have tags.

Whether you've just forgotten about them briefly or you're saving them for a special occasion that might never come, there are clothes in your closet you still haven't worn.

3. You have an entire shoe collection in your closet but still only wear your Chacos.

You have a collection of heels, sandals, and even different colored tennis shoes but all of them hurt your feet so you know they are still waiting for their chance to shine.

4. Your friends and family are starting to worry about your spending habits.

Your mom has asked you for a written copy of your spending budget twice and your roommates always judge you when you come home with a new shopping bag.

5. There is nothing a good spree can't fix.

A rough day at work, a disagreement among friends, or a fight with your significant other is all made a little bit better by a trip to one of your favorite stores.

6. Any occasion, like moving or a vacation, is practically a holiday.

You'll use any excuse to swipe that credit card.

7. When a new package arrives you're not even sure what it is let alone when you bought it or why.

Sometimes having your card saved onto your Amazon Prime account is a bigger drawback than it seems.

8. Not that it would help that much not to - you have your card number practically memorized.

Whether you've done it subconsciously or completely by accident you can recite that number backwards and forwards.

9. Your budget can be divided into two categories: 'Shopping' and 'Other'.

'Other' is everything you should be saving for but shoes prevail.

10. Shopping makes you happy

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
