There's not a doubt in the world that being a girl is freaking hard. These 10 rules will help you ward off the creeps, help you in times of emergencies and strengthen your bond with your girls. Follow away!
1. Help a girl out when she's being hit on by a creep.
If you see a girl getting hit on by a creepy guy and it is clear that she cannot get away, walk up and rescue her. Pretend to be her lesbian partner or her cousin. Anything helps.
2. Tell someone if they have toilet paper stuck on their shoe, or have food or lipstick on their teeth.
She will be forever grateful and you will feel so good about yourself and chances are you will save her from totally embarrassing herself in front of a hot dude.
3. Don't call a girl "fat," "ugly" or "sl*t."
As a matter of fact, you should remove those words from your language. You know you do not want to hear someone calling you any of those words, so why say that to or about a fellow girl. We owe it to one another to respect each other. We already get so much negativity from social media, men and ourselves that we should not have to get it from our fellow girls.
4. Let a girl borrow sanitary items.
Imagine yourself frantically searching for ways to make a makeshift pad out of cheap toilet paper: not cool and very awkward. No girl wants to go through this at any point in her life, so help a sista out.
5. Don't let your friend go back to her previous mistake.
If you absolutely know she will wake up and hate herself for going after this mistake, you should stop a friend from getting some.
6. Don't leave drunk girls behind.
There should be no excuse as to why you can't help a helpless girl at her most vulnerable time of the night.
7. Ex-boyfriends are off limits.
This is a big no-no. Even if your friend tells you she's OK or over it, it is most likely not OK. Just don't do it to her. Everyone knows that's like the rules of feminism.
8. That being said, ex-boyfriends' current girlfriends are automatically evil.
Sure, she may be cool and sweet and pretty, but your friend is probably so self-conscious she got replaced so quick and is living in fear that you will replace her too. So just don't do it cause that just stings harder than the breakup.
9. Chicks before sticks.
Hoes before bros. Uteruses before duderuses. Ovaries before brovaries. All the same principles Leslie Knope follows. Even if you have a boyfriend, you should still worship your girlfriends more than your boyfriend, never stop hanging out with your friends to hang out with your boyfriend because your friendship with your chicks is stronger and more valuable than the one with your dude.
10. Be nice to each other.
Life is so hard for girls. Periods, birth, hormones, boys, heartbreaks, depression, self-hatred. The list goes on and on and on. Even though it's already on the list, we don't need to add "mean girls" to it. Be nice, love each other, boost each other's confidence, make them feel good about themselves. Just be kind. You know what it's like being a girl, so why make it harder for other girls?
