Moms, aren't they just the best? I love my mom to the moon and back; and for so many reasons. Of all of the reasons she is my best friend, here are just a few.

1. She's your #1 fan.

Your accomplishments are her accomplishments, rightfully so. I mean, she did birth you.

2. She will tell you exactly like it is.

Just because she doesn't think that shirt is necessary flattering, doesn't mean she loves you any less.

3. You guys steal clothes from each other.

It happens to the best of us. But hey, it's like having two closets!

4. She's loves talking the latest gossip with you.

Despite what you may think, moms love hearing about all the drama and hot gossip that's going on.

5. She always has your back.

No matter where you are, or what kind of trouble you may be in, your mom will always be there to have your back. Its just what they do.

6. Two words: Gilmore... Girls.

It's not just a show, it's a lifestyle. Also a bonding experience.

7. She will always let you cry on her shoulder.

There will never be a time where your mom will make you cry alone. If you cry, you better believe she's crying too.

8. She already has a million silly photos saved in her phone to send you when you're feeling down.

The pug with the silly hats? Yup, you've received all of them, and you love every second of it.

9. She will recognize a fake friend WAY before you do.

If your mom has a funny feeling about a new friend/ significant other, BELIEVE HER. She will never steer you wrong and you WILL regret not listening to her.

10. She will never refuse a good hug.

Whether it's after a long day, or just a surprise hug, mom hugs are the best kind out there. There isn't a safer place then in the arms of your wonderful mother.

Thanks for being my best friend and mom all in one. I love you.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
