Freshman year of college is a great year. You meet new people, start to live on your own without your parents and get to experience the glorious dorm life. Dorm life is exactly what it sounds like. It's small, annoying at times, but you also get super close to your roommate. Fortunately, I have the best roommate I could ask for so here are 10 reasons you know you have the best roommate ever.

1. Your cleaning schedules match up

My roommate and I have a glorious schedule of her cleaning the bathroom and shower and I vacuum and take out the trash. She knows I hate bathrooms and I know she hates toilets so it works out well.

2. You guys like all the same snacks

Our room is constantly filled with sun chips, peanut butter, mini corn dogs, and Reece's cups. What more snacks could a girl want?

3. You wear the same sizes in everything

I don't have cowgirl boots? Oh good, my roommate does. She doesn't have nude heels? Well, good thing I do.

4. You have matching everything

Walking into our room is like looking in a mirror. There is two of everything.. we even have matching headboards.

5. They motivate you

Whether it's the gym or to do my homework or laundry my roommate is constantly motivating me and I'm forever grateful.

6. You have a master calendar

Every morning my roommate tells me her schedule for the day (even if I forget immediately) and we also have a calendar with all of our dates on it so we can coordinate plans well.

7. We're both actively involved

My roommate and I both have busy lives so we're never just sitting around in the room for so long we get tired of each other. I'm yet to get tired of her thankfully.

8. Our organizational skills are on point

Our room is never the messy room. Everything is kept fairly clean and to each others' standards so we never have issues.

9. We have canvas painting sessions

Nothing says quality girl time like painting canvases and gossiping. It's like therapy, but cheaper.

10. She's my best friend

In a few short months, my roomie has become my best friend and I couldn't be more thankful.
