10 Reasons Why You Should Start a Snapstreak
Snapchat

If you have a Snapchat, there is a chance that the concept “Snapstreaks” is something you are familiar with. Now for those who do not know what that is I shall explain it briefly. A Snapstreak is when you snap someone back and forth consecutively every day. After three days a streak forms and thus a Snapstreak is conceived. Now from what I noticed about half of the population of snapchat users are familiar and prioritize snapstreaks and the other half could care less. I am here to defend the people that do keep streaks and how important they are.

1. It allows you to have even more notifications so you don’t seem like a loser.

Before I started streaks the only notifications I got was from my mother asking to give my sister a ride. But now since I keep Snapstreaks my phone is constantly blowing up!

2. You can keep in touch with people without texting.

I personally am not a fan of texting because it is just way too much work. But I still need a way to show I don’t hate my friends. Snapchat remedies that exact problem! I just send a quick snap and my relationships are immediately cemented.

3. It gives you something to do when you’re on the toilet.

Personally I’m tired of playing candy crush saga when I’m using the restroom. Now I send some bomb snaps while I’m dropping a bomb of my own.

4. Since practice makes perfect it will improve your selfie game.

Before Snapstreaks my selfie game was weak, but now I take selfies that are Instagram model level.

5. Gives you an excuse to excuse yourself.

If you’re on Facetime and don’t like looking at the persons’ face due to how inferior he or she looks compared to your beautiful self, then you can take a brief break and say, “Hold up I gotta keep up my streaks.” They will completely understand. But of course if it's Josh Hutcherson why on earth would you want to leave him on pause.

6. You could constantly use filters to make yourself look even prettier than you already are.

The infamous dog filter can make you seem very pretty and sending it to others constantly to admire your beauty is something that is priceless.

7. Snapchat measures the level of your friendship with others.

The higher the streak the deeper your friendship is with that person!

8. It helps when you’re interested in someone.

An innocent streak can turn into a romantic relationship.

9. Gives you an excuse to look ugly.

Sometimes it is such a bother to try to look your best all the time. There are times when you just want to look as ugly as possible to laugh at yourself. You could even compete with your friends to see who could make the most chins!

10. The more streaks you have can determine your popularity!

If you ever feel down and think you have no friends. Bam look down and see how many true friends you have.

People may hate on you for having snapstreaks saying it takes up too much time or it is useless, but don’t let that deter you! Snap to your heart's content and remember a snap a day keeps the streak at bay.

For as long as I can remember, I have been listening to The Beatles. Every year, my mom would appropriately blast “Birthday” on anyone’s birthday. I knew all of the words to “Back In The U.S.S.R” by the time I was 5 (Even though I had no idea what or where the U.S.S.R was). I grew up with John, Paul, George, and Ringo instead Justin, JC, Joey, Chris and Lance (I had to google N*SYNC to remember their names). The highlight of my short life was Paul McCartney in concert twice. I’m not someone to “fangirl” but those days I fangirled hard. The music of The Beatles has gotten me through everything. Their songs have brought me more joy, peace, and comfort. I can listen to them in any situation and find what I need. Here are the best lyrics from The Beatles for every and any occasion.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.
