There are many kinds of people you could date in your life. You could date a lawyer, football player, hockey player, businessman, or even a doctor. But have you ever dated a horse rider? I'm guessing you haven't. Well let me tell you, there are some pretty good reasons why you should date one. Don't be scared that they might be crazy horse girls. Underneath that stereotype is an amazing girl!

1. Don't worry about us spending your money on clothes or shoes, we spend it at the tack shop.

Instead of high heels, we prefer to shop for the latest tall boots or for the latest show coat style.

2. We have amazing legs.

You may just squat for the benefit of a fitter butt and legs. We, however, use every muscle in our legs and butt to ride our horses effectively. Every time we get off our horses, we can feel the muscles we worked.

3. We ride in a sport where there is a small percentage of men competing -- no need to get jealous.

Have you seen the Olympics? There is a small percentage of men that compete in our sport; it is dominated by women.

4. We can go from barn clothes to a night-on-the- town look.

We have those days where we are at the barn training or lessoning and then realize we have a dinner party to go to. What do you know, not a speck of dirt is on our skin from earlier. We can clean up really well after a lesson.

5. We are more than happy to lounge in sweats and no makeup at the end of the day.

What isn't better than kicking back at the end of the day in sweats and a messy bun? I do that every night.

6. We aren't afraid to get dirty.

Golly, we spend our days at the barn near dirt, mud, horse slobber and horse manure. We aren't afraid of a little dirt.

7. We make excellent nurses for when you're sick.

Have you seen how much care we give to our horse? You would be so lucky to have us as your nurse. We give you our 1,000 percent care and attention.

8. Commitment is our middle name.

If we can commit to our sport and our horse, we can clearly commit to a serious relationship.

9. Did I mention the strong thighs?

Our thighs are probably our gym statement when talking about how swoll we are at the gym getting our workout grind on.

10. We make sure our budget is stable for all the things we do.

Pun intended. What is more attractive than a woman who is financially stable? She's got a job, money to support the sport she loves and money to support herself. Although, the majority of her money goes to her horse.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
