Boundless sunshine, promising weather and an excuse to travel make summer the greatest time of year — it would be extremely difficult to find someone who thought otherwise. But just in case they (or you) still need some convincing, here are seven reasons why summer is the best season.
1. That road trip to the beach with your friends.
Most of us have to drive a few hours to get to our native beaches. If you're lucky, all you have to do is walk outside your front door. If you have a long voyage ahead of you, it's actually okay in the summertime because you know the car ride there is just the beginning. Tilt your head back, stare out the window and start getting excited to get your feet wet in that foamy, cleansing water.

2. The music.
There is always a pretty good selection on the radio that vibes with who we are in those warm months. You don't have to go to a party - all you have to do is turn on your favorite radio station and you've arrived at one.
3. Hardly any responsibilities.
For a lot of people, their workload drastically decreases along with the stress that comes with school or a full time job. Even if you work in a cubicle, the fact that some sunlight can poke through the windows will do tons for your mood. Sunshine means happy, of course.
4. It's the best time to exercise.
I love working out in the summer. Your body gets covered in sweat that much faster. Remember, sweat is fat crying. You could go running in a nearby park, take your dog for a walk, or do some laps in the pool.
5. The outfits.
In the cold, bitter months of winter, layering up is a must. Sometimes it's a struggle to put together the right combination of clothes or sometimes manage to dress warm enough. In the summer you basically bare it all. Less clothes, less problems. All you need to worry about is what shirt you're wearing - and flip flops match with anything.
6. Windows down, music up.
Everyone loves riding with the windows down and feeling the cool breeze through their hair. Allowing the breeze to sneak through your car windows on a calm, blue-skied day can be therapeutic. There are even songs about rolling your windows down and wearing shades, so it's obviously a hit.
7. It's the best time to reconnect with old friends.
In the winter when it's freezing cold and sometimes not even possible to leave your house, you can feel isolated and anti-social - and having high speed internet and a roll of cookie dough isn't helping anyone. In the summer, you can reconnect with friends and family out on the patio or by the water.
