1. They make the experience of coming home so much better.
As soon as you walk in the door, there they are. Barking, jumping, and just so happy that you're home with them.
2. They always love you no matter what
Maybe you're hair doesn't look so good that day, or you're a little disorganized. That doesn't matter to your pup, they're perfect in your eyes.
3. You're the best part of their day.
You may see a lot of people throughout your day that you don't want to see. Your dog only cares about seeing one person, you. And seeing you lights up their whole world.
4. They are always ready to snuggle up with you.
Movie night in? Your pouch will be right there with you, ready to cry over chick flicks and comfort you when you've eaten too much chocolate.
5. They make the bad days seem not so bad.
After a rough day at work or school coming home to your dog makes things seem a lot better than they are. Their happiness spreads to you and seeing how excited they are about life makes those little things that you were upset about vanish.
6. They teach you how to care and love.
This is something I don't think most people think of when having a dog. From a young age, I learned to love my pets and I feel this ha transcended into other relationships I have. Not that I think everybody is furry, friendly, and lovable, but dogs teach you to like, love and care for others.
7. They teach you responsibility.
Nothing like having your first dog. Walk it, feed it, pet it, and give it all the attention it needs. Like a child, but with four legs.
8. Having a dog makes you get outside and walk.
You don't want to exercise? Well, your dog is going to need to be walked, so that 10-15 minutes you spend walking them outside is some pretty good exercise for yourself as well.
9. They are huge stress relievers.
Just petting your dog or sitting with them when your anxiety is high is sure to calm you down. It puts you in a better mood and allows you to simmer down and just collect yourself.
10. They are your best friend.
And you are theirs.
