1. You meet many new people.

College gives you the opportunity to make friends with so many new and different people. You will meet people that share the same hobbies and passions you. The possibliity of finding your lifelong best friends is right at your fingertips.

2. You will try so many new things.

With hundreds of clubs and organizations available on campus, you will have the opportunity to try whatever you please and maybe something you've never thought of doing before.

3. Weekends

In college, weekends are however you want to make them. You could either hit the town with your friends, or spend the weekend studying and watching movies. Whatever you do, weekends are always going to be an amazing time.

4. You're an adult now, meaning you make your own decisions.

This may seem intimidating, but this power you now hold, can be kind of rewarding. Especially when you know you've made the right decision for yourself.

5. You can do whatever you want, when you want.

College is a time where besides your classes, you have an open schedule to do whatever you want in that free time. How you spend this time is up to you and it is simply awesome. If you want to spend all afternoon on the turf, you can. Just make sure you keep time for staying on top of your classes.

6. Napping half the day away is acceptable

After a hard day of going on one class at 10 a.m, you need to nap. Believe me. These are now a necessity and most student's favorite past time.

7. There is no dress code

Especially when coming from a private high school, this is life changing. Now you can wear whatever you want to class without being cited for dress code.

8. You will always be surrounded by people the same age as you

This is the only time of your life that you will be living with and completely surrounded by a community of people the same age as you. Which is pretty cool of you think about it.

9. So many fun activities and so much FREE stuff

Many activities are available all throughout the week on campus, and yes there is always something free that is being given away at these small events. It is highly recommended to go, especially when there is free food involved.

10. You have so much freedom

College means living on your own, with your own responsibilities, making your own decisions and finding yourself along the way. This kind of freedom will help you transition into adulthood with a lot of fun times along the way.
