10 Reasons Why I Can’t Wait To Go Back To School

While many people dread the return to school, I am quite excited and here's why.

10 Reasons Why I Can’t Wait To Go Back To School

1. There is a schedule

School creates a pattern that is healthier for body. Rather than waking up at eleven o’clock or even two in the afternoon, school forces your body to wake up and start the day. Once the day is started, there is a schedule of classes and lunch, which all happen at the same time every day, so your body begins a rhythm. After school, you have sports, clubs, and homework to keep you focused and occupied until dinner. Daily patterns and healthy amounts of sleep are helpful to growing, learning bodies.

2. You learn new things

While test, papers, and quizzes are never fun, it is always good to improve your intelligence. School provides a built in time to study, learn, and read about all new things. Learning not only provides a person with the ability to form their own thoughts, but the ability to articulate and backup their beliefs.

3. Fall Begins

School beginning marks the end of summer and the beginning of fall (the best season of the year). Fall means comfy clothing like leggings, sweatpants, sweaters, and sweatshirt or really anything you want because fall is the perfect weather for layering.

4. School dances

Even though school dances themselves may not be the most fun thing in the world, the buildup to dances is. Everyone getting excited about what they are going to wear, who they will take, and where they are going brings more excitement and fun than the dance itself.

5. Weekends matter

During summer every day is like a weekend so you end up spending most of the summer saying you will do something fun tomorrow. During the school year, the weekend is the only time to fit in big plans. So weekends fill up with friends, fun, and lots of things to do.

6. School shopping

Nothing is more fun than back to school shopping. Stocking up on all the supplies you need and “need” for the new year is extremely exciting. It’s even more fun to go to school and show off all of your new stuff.

7. School clothing

For those with uniforms school starting is great because you no longer have to worry about what you are wearing. For schools without uniforms school beginning is the perfect to show off your favorite outfits.

8. School provides interesting electives

Once the school year starts so do classes, especially electives. Elective classes allow student to explore subjects or activities they might otherwise never experience. It is not very easy to find access pottery studios, wood shops, or frogs to dissect during the summer.

9. School activities start

Whether you are in band, drama club, or on the football team the start of school allows for student to join their favorite clubs and activities. And if you aren’t a big sport player, you can still be an outstanding super fan to all school events.

10. Most importantly you care able to see all your friends again

Though everyone promises to keep in touch over the summer, it is inevitable that some people will never be seen. School provides an opportunity to see old friends, make new friends and rekindle friendships lost to summer. School allows for lots of socializing, just not too much during class.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
