10 Reasons Why Brothers Are The Absolute Best

"Sometimes being a brother is better than being a superhero."

– Marc Brown

Being the only girl with two brothers has taught me that: I am a daddy's girl, and I have two boys to always look out for me. My brothers have been through it all with me and they are my best friends. Having brothers is a huge blessing. Even though they know exactly what to do to tick you off, they also fill you up with so much love. Can't live with them, but you can't live without them! Here are the reasons why I think brothers are the absolute best:

1. They aren’t judgmental.

He’s known you for most your life or your whole life and knows the person you are. He’s seen it all. If he has anything to say, it’s most likely something you’ve heard several times before.

2. They always have your back.

Did a boy break your heart? Tell him to watch out. Is someone being mean to you? Tell them to run for the hills. Brothers are the best kind of bodyguards. They'll always look out for you.

3. They correct you when you’re wrong.

Did you make a mistake? Don’t worry, your brother will remind you to correct yourself and help you learn from his own mistakes.

4. They double as your best friend.

Have an issue you don’t want to discuss with your parents? Need a shoulder to lean on? Call your brother. He will always be there for you.

5. They say the funniest things.

Need some cheering up and nothing else works? Turn to your brother to hear the thing that will make you grin from ear to ear.

6. They tell it like it is.

If you're wearing an awful outfit or if you're wearing way too much makeup they will make sure to tell you the truth before you make a fool of yourself.

7. They made growing up so much fun.

The best memories you have are the ones with your brothers when you were kids. My brothers taught me how to get dirty and play sports and for that, I will be forever grateful.

8. You love to steal their clothes.

You probably have a ton of their shirts because they are so comfy... and because you just like to steal their stuff.

9. They put up with all your nonsense.

You’re outgoing personality probably puts them over the edge sometimes, but they deal with it anyways.

10. They love you unconditionally, no matter what.

Feeling ugly? Your brother will remind you just how beautiful you are. Friends may come and go, but you’ll always have your brother there to catch you when you fall.

Shout out to all of the amazing brothers out there! I love you, Alex & Tyler!

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Course registration at college can be a big hassle and is almost never talked about. Classes you want to take fill up before you get a chance to register. You might change your mind about a class you want to take and must struggle to find another class to fit in the same time period. You also have to make sure no classes clash by time. Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Challah vs. Easter Bread: A Delicious Dilemma

Is there really such a difference in Challah bread or Easter Bread?

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
