You got everything new, and got to buy new clothes when you outgrew the old ones.

2. There Are Tons of Baby Pictures of You

Your parents had time to take pictures. Your baby book is filled! By baby number two, there’s a holiday photo (maybe!), and that’s about it.

3. You Get Your Licence First

Being the first child to have your license means that your little siblings have to do nice things for you when they want a ride somewhere… and that works great for you, because let’s be honest- you don’t really mind driving anyway!

4. When Mom/Dad Leave, You’re in Charge

This speaks for itself. You get to make your siblings do what you want, including all of your chores!

5. Your Siblings Believe Everything you Say as to be the Truth

I once convinced my sisters that there was a whale in a nearby pond. Seriously.

6. You Never Get Called by Your Sibling’s Name in Class

You’re the first kid in your family that a teacher has… so they learn your name first! Your siblings will live their lives correcting the teachers you had.

7. Their Friends Think You’re Awesome

Never were you asked to leave when you crashed your little sibling’s play date… The younger kids thought they were super cool to be in the presence of a ‘big kid.’

8. There are Literally No Expectations

You don’t feel pressured to go to an ivy league school like your brother, or be a perfect flute player like your sister.

You've had so much practice doing it from bossing around the siblings.

10. You Get to Watch Some Little Humans Grow into Pretty Cool People

Nothing beats watching the little kid that used to put gum in your hair complete milestones in their life, like learning to drive or graduating high school, or overall just being awesome.
