Often times, I find myself getting sad or upset about little things. It could be the smallest, most ridiculous reason to be sad, but I still get upset about it. Some time it's because I'm stressed, have a lot going on with school or just the fact that I'm a girl and girls are often very emotional. When I do get sad, I always stop myself and think about why I'm sad. I think about if it's actually a valid reason to be upset, or if I'm just throwing myself an unintentional pity party. I think about all the reasons I have to not be upset, and although that might not solve the problem right then and there, it makes me feel a little better. I have so many reasons to wake up every day and be happy, and I'm going to list a few of them.
1. I have a God who loves me.
2. I have a family who loves me.
4. I have the best friends a girl could ask for.
5. I have a boyfriend who puts a smile on my face every day.
6. I was raised in a loving home, with a great family.
7. I have the privilege to experience college.
8. I have a roof over my head.
9. I have clothes on my back.
10. I eat three meals a day (sometimes more).
These are just a few of the reasons that I should wake up happy every morning, and keep in my mind every day. I was blessed with a great family, awesome friends, and the best support system. I have been able to experience so many things in my almost 20 years of life that some people may never be able to experience. Knowing that I have so many people that love me and care for me is enough to make me think twice about staying down if I'm sad. I hope we can all find a few reasons to be happy and feel blessed with what we have, and more importantly, who we have!
