From the overwhelming first day of freshman year to the very emotional graduation day, they've stuck by your side through thick and thin! You may be distant but you never would have gotten to where you are today without their love and support through it all. No matter how far apart you currently are, they deserve the most sincere thank you for everything they've done. Sometimes we take them for granted and forget to thank them. So thank you, bestie, for everything. I love you to infinity and beyond. Below are 10 reasons why you're my best friend, and will continue to be my best friend no matter what.
1. For cheering you up.
You weren't fooling anyone when you said you were fine when you really weren't. They always knew when to fill your sadness with some Ben & Jerry’s that was probably followed up with the sentence, “Who needs a stupid guy when you have Ben & Jerry’s?”
2. For being far, but never out of reach.
Your bestie from your small high school still talks to you on the daily, especially when the cute new boy from your intro to psych class starts flirting non-stop. They’re still your go-to gal when times get tough, especially when your roommate is stuck in the library studying for her exam. Thanks for always being my support system even though we’re two hours away.
3. For picking up right where you left off.
No matter what, your conversations always pick back up right where they ended before you went your separate ways. From the ex who decided to downgrade to a crazy frat party you went to the week before, you’ll never get bored of each other.
4. For keeping that snap streak going.
There's 100 days and counting of snapping you thousands of ugly photos nonstop. Thank you for not judging me when I looked like a complete mess! Getting those crazy filter faces every day are probably what keeps me going throughout the week, and I hope it does the same for you.
5. For letting me visit you at school for a getaway weekend.
Thank you for opening up your dorm to me in a time of need like it was your home. You gave me the recharge I needed to finish the semester and I couldn’t thank you enough. Pretending I actually go to your school is always an adventure, not to mention the crazy boys next door!
6. For accepting your screw-ups.
Thank you for always letting me vent about my stupid decisions and never judging me for them. You rock! I may have gotten an F on a paper or fell for a guy who didn’t deserve my heart, but you never once told me I was in the wrong. I can always count on you to be real with me and give me a blunt answer instead of just judging me hardcore like people I just met might do.
7. For knowing all your secrets.
You're the only one that knows all my deepest darkest secrets and you would never dare to uncover them to anyone, not even your cat. I know I can always count on you to treasure them with all your might and I love you for that. From that time that you... Well, let's keep that one between us.
8. For being through all your breakups.
Thank you for always being my number one supporter when my heart was broken. Especially when I thought the world was ending. Thank you for always putting up with my drama and being a shoulder to cry on. I owe you one. I appreciate you sticking up for me even if the breakup was my fault. Thank you for telling me there were a million fish in the sea. I love you for that.
9. For likeing all your Instagram posts with your new besties.
Thank you for always being open to the new friends I may make. I know it's hard. Just know you’ll always have a massive spot in my heart that nobody else will ever have. We both moved on and made new lifelong friends but I still pinky swear you’re my low-key favorite.
10. For just getting you for who you are.
You know me better than anyone else, and I couldn’t be more thankful for that - especially the new transition we both made. I love you to infinity and beyond and could never imagine life without you. Thank you for putting up with me over the past four years and continuing to be my rock through everything. Thank you for letting your home be my home and vice versa. Thank you for always picking up the phone in a time of need and being real with me when the world was crumbling around me.
