Valentine's Day can definitely be sucky especially for those of us who are single. But being alone on V-Day doesn't always have to be bad!

1. It's better to be single than with a jerk.

Yeah, I get it. It sucks to see all of your friends in relationships. But think about how many of them are actually happy. It's better to be single than in a crappy relationship where you're not being treated like the queen you are.

2. Your pockets will thank you.

Just sit there for a minute and think of all the money you'll save! Valentine's Day is crazy expensive! Valentine's Day is the third most expensive holiday in the U.S. with Christmas coming in as number one.

3. Treat Yourself!

Have you been eyeing that new Michael Kors purse? Do you really want those super cute black, leather ankle boots from H&M? Then girl, you go for it! The great thing about being single on Valentine's Day is that you get to be your own Valentine.

4. Girls Night Out!

It's time to combine forces with all of your single girlfriends and take on the town! Hit all of the hottest bars, go club hopping. Who needs a man when you've got your best girlfriends?

5. You don't have to shave your legs.

Or anything else for the matter. Your single, baby girl. Embrace your inner beast. #noshave2017

6. There's no need to worry about looking good enough!

We've all been there. We get stressed out and overwhelmed for a date, even if it's with a guy you've been with for awhile. Girls just want to know that they look good enough for their man. But you have no man so you get to toss away all of those anxious feelings.

7. Did you say sweatpants?

Forget about buying a new LDB or that expensive matching bra and pantie set! You have the liberty to stay in comfy sweats and binge watch episodes of Grey's Anatomy while stuffing your face with bacon pizza. There's no one to impressive but yourself. So break your record of how many hours you can sit on the couch watching Netflix before you have to pee.

8. You don't have to stress out about buying the "perfect" gift.

If you're anything like me, buying gifts gives you crazy anxiety. What if they don't like it? What if they get you something amazing and it makes your gift look like a fifth grader's art project? It is so much better being single on Valentine's Day because the only gift you have to worry about getting is one for yourself.

9. You can do whatever you want!

Away with having to settle! You can do whatever you want (or whoever) on this God forsaken holiday because you're single! It's time to have fun and put your freedom to use!

10. And lastly, you're Prince Charming is still looking for you.

I know it's hard and you may feel lonely. But trust me, you're not alone. There are tons of single people out there who feel exactly the way you do. So be patient. He's on his way.

So whether you're single or taken, enjoy this God forsaken holiday in anyway you deem fit.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
