If you have ever watched "Modern Family," you've probably hysterically laughed at a few of Phil Dunphy's jokes or even his attempts at being serious. As a "Modern Family" enthusiast, I absolutely love each and every character. However, Phil Dunphy is truly my spirit animal. From his one-liners to jokes and life advice, Phil is me in a nutshell. He radiates some of the best qualities people can have in a way many viewers relate to. He is ultimately my spirit animal and here are 10 reasons why.

1. His Life Advice: Made with Good Intentions but Not Always Accurate

Many of my friends know I try to give them the best life advice possible but it isn't always accurate 100 percent of the time or in Phil's case 101 percent of the time.

2. He's the Cool Friend: That's My Thang

Half the time I am one of the last people to know about the hottest new trends or most popular new songs, but I still like to think I'm current with the times so why the face?

3. He's Possibly the Best (or Worst) Decision Maker Ever

As most of my friends and family know I am absolutely horrible about making decisions, especially ones that are time sensitive. So I ask you, why wouldn't you buy the last alpaca? It's just like buying that last pair of boots in your size on sale you just can't resist.

4. He's an Unrealistic but Optimistic Dreamer

I have always had high hopes for my future and definitely consider myself an optimistic dreamer like Phil. Who knows maybe one day he will actually live that double life like Hannah Montana because lets face it, that was everyone's dream back in the day.

5. His Reaction to Adult-ing

From disciplining others to forcing the acceptance of the real world, Phil often has a balance between the fun, carefree world and harsh reality. He has an understanding that yes "Legally Blonde" make be a fantastic movie but it is not like the real world whatsoever. Although I would love to live in a carefree world, like Phil, we have to take the good with the bad.

6. He's a Passionate yet Realistic Person

Like Phil, I believe I have a very big heart and care about a lot of people. However, we must learn to let things or loved ones go when necessary no matter how hard it may be. Unless it is a tiger and extremely dangerous.

7. He Has Fun Whenever He Can

Okay, I'm pretty sure every '90s baby can relate, we were all obsessed with High School Musical. Like Phil, it is pretty easy to start singing or dancing to any of those movies.

8. Life Advice (part 2): Strive for Greatness

Phil encourages himself, family, and friends to strive for greatness each and every day. No matter the task, anything is possible, even if it means turning lemonade into lemons.

9. His Uncapped Creativity

Like his life advice, he also encourages those around him to express creativity any way they can. From creating new inventions with Luke to goofing around he encourages everyone to think "inside the box."

10. He is a Harry Potter Fan

Enough said, being a Harry Potter fan automatically makes you eligible to be my spirit animal.

From his fun and loving attitude to life advice, Phil radiates so many positive goofy qualities that it is difficult not to like him. Ultimately, Phil Dunphy is indeed my spirit animal for these 10 reasons and countless others.
