Why is that as the weather turns colder, our hearts get all warm and happy? Just look around you -- cut out the people headed to the testing center -- people are generally happier than they were a few weeks ago. Here’s why I think that is:
1) Halloween is finally gone. Those of us who hate being scared, haunted houses, and always being on edge can rest peacefully now. Those of you who love those things can now go back to viewing horror films in private.
2) Thanksgiving is right around the corner. That not only means you will be eating an array of delicious foods and sweets, but a much needed five day break from school is soon forthcoming.
3) Sweater weather! It’s time to stop worrying so much about that doughnut you had for breakfast because your nice baggy sweater will fashionably hide it!
4) Cuddling season is in full swing. Whether it’s with your significant other or a big fluffy blanket, it’s always great to get all cozy
5) For all of you whose parents got all lovey on Valentines day, November is your birthday month! Just another reason to celebrate and eat sweets!
6) Finally, the month where it becomes acceptable to jam out to Christmas music is finally here! Michael Bublé will warm all our hearts.
7) Even though your complex’s pool shut down a few weeks ago, you can relax in the hot tub and enjoy the crisp nights.
8) There’s a fresh taste outside in the afternoons when the sun warms the grass and the leaves are still falling down.
9) School in full swing and you are either grateful that you are in control of the semester or grateful that it’s almost over; either way you’re almost there.
10) Shopping. Christmas shopping is here, which is the best because it’s time to scheme about the perfect gifts for the people on your list.
