Love comes in all shapes and forms, it's hard to remember why to stick with someone when things get a little much to handle sometimes. Well, things will always get rough. It's always a relieving feeling to remember why your partner means so much to you.

1. She Makes You Smile

She's fun to be around. The perfect combination of a sweetheart and a sasshole. (yes, sasshole is a real word). Even though she pushes your buttons, ALL OF YOUR BUTTONS, you can't help but hug her instead of being mad.

2. She Encourages You

You tell her your hopes and dreams, even if they are absolutely insane. Instead of telling you that you're crazy, she totally agrees with you and tells you that you can do it. Never lets you forget your worth or what you are capable of.

3. She Takes Care Of You

She looks at you and automatically knows you're thinking about the left over Chicken Divan that's sitting in the fridge. Before you can even say something about it, she's warming it up for you. When you're struggling, she's there to lean on.

4. She Thinks About You

Instead of always putting herself first, she makes you her equal. She can't go get her nails done without picking up something you've been talking about for days, like a certain movie or how badly you need a new shirts for work. Besides, who has better style than her?

5. She Has Ambition

She doesn't expect you to support her. She works her ass off so you don't have to over work yours. She has goals for herself, and for you as a couple. Oh, and she doesn't stop until the goals are met.

6. She Pays Attention

When you blab on about the same things for hours at a time she is attentive. She pays attention to all that you have to say, whether you realize it or not. On Monday you say how you've been craving a Roast for dinner, little do you know that's now on the menu for the weekend. You complain about having to stack the winter firewood and you come home and it's magically already stacked (not as well as you would've stacked it, but A for effort.)

7. She Is Open

She isn't afraid to be herself around you. She will wake up in the morning with her hair a mess and bring you a cup of coffee when she makes hers. She tells you what bothers her and the things she loves and hates.

8. She Is Ready

She is ready to take on any obstacle with you without hesitation. She wants more than something that's only going to be temporary. She's someone who wants to be around your family and your dogs. She's someone you want to have a family with and well, tons of dogs.

9. She Is Understanding

When you've had a bad day and want to pout in your chair, she understands. You have to work late and cancel date night, she understands. You need to take a step back and figure yourself out, she understands. She is patient with you, and waits with you.

10. You Can't Let Her Go

Although she is a fireball and sometimes to handle, you can't let her go. Love is different for everybody and it definitely isn't easy. Sometimes you feel like giving up when things get hard, but for some reason you come to her with an apology and a kiss.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
