1. Mount Washington has the highest wind speed ever recorded by man! It was recoded at 231 mph in 1934. Better bring your wind breakers if you want to survive the top of this mountain.

2. We have the best foliage around the U.S. leaf peepers travel hundreds of miles just to see our foliage. Sure, other states have nice foliage, but we have the Cannon mountain tram which brings you to the top of Cannon to see the most amazing foliage in the peak of Autumn.

3. Mount Monadnock sees around 125,000 climbers yearly which makes it the second most climbed mountain in the world!

4. We are known for having the best fireworks display in all of New England, thanks to Atlas Fireworks who puts their show on yearly in southern NH.

5. NO SALES TAX! We don't have to wait around for random weekends for sales tax free weekends, we have no sales tax year round and it is the best thing ever! We are one of only four states can boast about this amazing part of our state, but were the only ones in New England.

6.. We have the choice of helmet or no helmet, seatbelt or no seatbelt. Car insurance is optional to, we are in charge of our own lives and there is nothing more freeing than that... "Live Free or Die" right?

7. Hampton, NH is home to the best sandcastles in New England and everyone knows that.

8. We are known as a one of the most important swing states, so we see a lot of Presidential rallies during election years, because they want us to swing their way (;

9. We have the largest candy counter in the world! It is 112 feet long and is located in Littleton, NH. So, if you are in the mood for something sweet then just hop over to Chutters and by your lifetime supply!

10. We have the largest arcade in the world! Funspot is the best arcade ever for all ages from young to old, there is something for everyone.. even those who love bowling or mini golf!

New Hampshire is the best state to live in because we have so many fun things to do during all four seasons of the year! You get a taste of each type of weather no matter where you live in NH. We also obviously have some of the worlds largest places and some of the best sight seeing possible so if you have never been to New Hampshire book your tickets now for the upcoming fall foliage! NH gives you a granite state of mind no matter what you do here.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.
