There is always that one person. That person who, when you see them, you get so excited and instantly start smiling. Everyone has that person who makes you smile and they don't even have to say a word. A soul sister is someone so much like you when it comes to thoughts, attitudes, and feelings, it's crazy that you aren't actually related.
I didn't meet my soul sister until college, but as soon as I met her I knew that she would be so influential in my life. My soul sister saves me from my worst days and is always my go-to person. She has no idea what the hugs and smiles have meant to me. She is my light in the dark for so many reasons.
1. She always has something positive to say.
No matter how negative the situation is, there is something positive that she shows me from the experience.
2. No matter what, she is always the happiest and bubbliest person in the room.
Over time, she has taught me that frowning causes wrinkles and it is so much easier to choose happiness.
3. She always has her act together, even when she doesn't.
Even when everything is tearing at the seams, she can always put her best foot forward and have everything together mentally and physically. She is a real live superwoman and I hope I can be that someday.
4. She is always the leader.
No matter what the situation is, you can turn to her to lead the way. She will always lead you down the right path and will take every step with you.
5. You gravitate towards her.
In a room full of people she is the one who you stand next to and even after you stray off, you always come back to her. Her presence is just something you value. She truly is a person you love to be around.
6. She is the type of gal who is perfectly cool with staying in.
She is always down for some popcorn and Disney movies. The best thing about her is that the simplest things make her the happiest.
7. She always looks like a total babe, even when she is going to the gym.
This girl has style all the time like she was just born with it. With or without makeup, she is beautiful inside and out.
8. She has the purest soul.
She is kind and wants to help anyone who is struggling. If a guy drops a 24-pack of water and it goes all over the parking lot, she will be the one to pick them up and help him carry them inside.
9. She is "that" friend.
She is the friend of your dreams and I am not kidding. She is a person who wants to be your friend everyday, not just some. She won't ditch you to hang out with other people. She makes sure you are always welcome where she is.
10. There is no bad side.
Unlike most of us, she is great all the time. No matter what the situation, she is happy and smiling. It doesn't matter if she is sick or having an off day, she is still going to give you a smile and be the sweetest person you have ever met.
Life would be so much darker without my soul sister. Having a person who brightens your life, over the time you see them, is so important to have. I hope that I can become someone else's soul sister because of all of the wonderful things mine has taught me. Being the light at the end of someone's tunnel is the best quality you could ever have.
