Best Friends are people that God gives you to make this life a little easier. It's the lucky ones that get the best friends straight out of the womb- a sister from another mister. Luckily, I met my best friend when I was still in diapers. She's one of the only people that know me better than I know myself. I'm so lucky that I have someone in my life like this girl. There are so many reasons why having this type of best friend is amazing, but here's 10.

1. Absence makes the heart grow fonder.

That amazing feeling of reuniting is pure happiness. You don't have to constantly be with each other to know that you're each other's best friends. But, you have to admit that the hug is something you look forward to when you plan a dinner date. You each have your own life, with your own friends and you're both ok with it!

2. You're basically family!

Calling each other's parents by their first name is super weird. Your parents got you stuck in the habit of calling them "aunt" and "uncle". Whenever there is a family party you can literally always count on your BFF to be there to save you from your actual cousins and actual family.

3. Millions of cute baby pictures!!

Need a pic to celebrate their birthday? No problem, just dig out the picture bin and you're sure to find on in there within 5 minutes (not even). You'll end up getting a serious amount of likes cause how cute is it that Best Friend's have baby pictures. It's the best making fun of each other's chubbiness or weird outfits that your parents put you in.

5. They know you better than you know yourself.

Feeling down that day but you literally have no idea why? Just shoot a text to your best friend and she probably knows exactly what's wrong and exactly how to fix it. She knows what you'll order of the Wendy's and Starbucks menu and won't think twice about surprising you when something bad happens. It's like she's your clone except with brown hair.

6. Letting each other in on your Friend's drama.

This is the best part! Something going down in your group chats from your own friends? Just, screenshot and send to her and an automatic grind time. (Don't even act like your sweet soul doesn't so it cause you know damn well you do).

7. Foreshadowing friend drama, completely off of vibes they give you.

My BFF moved a town over, of course, I instantly loved all of her new friends because they took her under their wing. But, there is always that vibe that you get from one or two people that you know that they're going to cause your BFF problems. 3 years down the line, you're always right. It's cool to get a heads up even though you think your friend is being a total weirdo.

8. The sister you NEVER had.

My BFF is the sister I never had. She's always there to give you advice on things that she's wiser about- and you fulfill your job by giving her your advice. She's always there to wipe the tears away and beat up whoever is hurting you. Your clothes are hers, and her clothes are yours.

9. Automatic Maid of Honor

Don't lie to yourself now ladies, you know you have thought about your future wedding more than once. Whether you have a SO or you're just brainstorming 10 years earlier. The good thing about having a BFF straight out of diapers is that you have an automatic maid of honor to deal with all of you bridezilla moments. Odds are, she'll plan your wedding and bachelorette party EXACTLY how you wanted it since second grade.

10. A FOREVER FRIEND

There's no doubt that you get an absolute best friend for life. Everyone knows it even her "home" best friend. Plus, you're planning on having daughters the same age so they can be BFFs just like you! You're never getting rid of me, bestie.

Small towns certainly have their pros and cons. Many people who grow up in small towns find themselves counting the days until they get to escape their roots and plant new ones in bigger, "better" places. And that's fine. I'd be lying if I said I hadn't thought those same thoughts before too. We all have, but they say it's important to remember where you came from. When I think about where I come from, I can't help having an overwhelming feeling of gratitude for my roots. Being from a small town has taught me so many important lessons that I will carry with me for the rest of my life.

I can't say "thank you" enough to express how grateful I am for you coming into my life. You have made such a huge impact on my life. I would not be the person I am today without you and I know that you will keep inspiring me to become an even better version of myself.

Like I said, it's a big hassle.

This semester, I was waitlisted for two classes. Most people in this situation, especially first years, freak out because they don't know what to do. Here is what you should do when this happens.

Ever since I could remember, it was a treat to receive Easter Bread made by my grandmother. We would only have it once a year and the wait was excruciating. Now that my grandmother has gotten older, she has stopped baking a lot of her recipes that require a lot of hand usage--her traditional Italian baking means no machines. So for the past few years, I have missed enjoying my Easter Bread.
