10 Reasons Your Bros Are Like Family, As Told By The Cast Of 'New Girl'

1. You do the dumbest things together.

Admit it, you guys have not always made the best decisions. Doomed camping trips, drinking whiskey at 5 p.m, stalking your friend on a date...you guys possess an incredible knack for doing stupid things, but at least you have fun, right?

2. They give you the best advice.

Unsure if you should purchase this year’s "Call Of Duty" (despite the fact it will more than likely just end up being the exact same game as last year and you know it)? In need of relationship advice (she doesn't like anime..)? You can seek counsel from them on any matter. They state the honest truth, whether or not you want to hear it.

3. You spend copious amounts of time together.

Together, you spend a deplorable amount of time playing video games. Those times of sleep overs (guys do those, too) playing "Black Ops: Zombies" till noon the next day were glorious. You guys pretty much hang out multiple times a week, and are often texting via your group chat titled The League Of Shadows.

4. They knew you during your awkward years.

High school is a time spent deciphering who you are. You remember. Your bros remember all too well. You went through that “scene” phase; you shopped at Hot Topic a little too frequently, your hair was at an atrocious length, and you used the word "kewl" in nearly every text. Somehow, they were your friends then and have seen you blossom into a less ugly version of yourself.

5. They never judge you...

It is incredible they never judge you. Though they are probably thinking about how ridiculous you are for buying McDonald's kids meal simply for the Mario toy or locking the keys in THEIR car nearly stranding the both of you, they choose not to give you a hard time (ok, they were pretty mad about the last one). Case in point, you can mess up once in a while, just be yourself, and know your bros will accept you.

6. But...they totally judge you.

Kindness can only go so far. Your bros are not afraid to tell you "Gossip Girl" is a girl show (your girlfriend forced you to watch it, right?), you are bizarre for hating mint chocolate, and spend an appalling amount of time doing your hair. "Seriously, ten combs and three different kinds of pomade?"

7. They have your back.

Life is not always easy, but it is slightly less difficult with friends by your side. When life is beating you down, you know you can get deep with them and get something off of your chest. If you are in a bind, need help with rent money, or need a lift at 3 a.m, they willingly come to your aid.

8. They have taught you valuable skills.

Who else was going to teach you how to falcon punch on Smash Bros?

9. You can ask them anything.

"Do I look stupid with my jeans cuffed?" No matter how dumb or awkward the question may be, you can ask them anything and expect an authentic response.

10. Everyone thinks you're brothers.

People often ask you if you guys are related, after numerous years of being best friends, you have come to consider yourselves far more, family.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
