Being single is the best. You can do whatever you want, whenever you want, with no one one else to worry about. Here are the top 10 reasons why it's best to be single.
1. You want that pizza? Eat it all. You want that bucket of wings? Eat it all. No one there to eat the rest of your French fries, you get them all to yourself. Also a bonus, no one there to judge you when you want to eat that full chocolate extreme brownie.
2. You get the entire bed to yourself.
There is no 210 lb. 6’3” blanket hog to take up your bed. Sprawl out and claim that entire bed all to yourself.
3. No awkward introductions to your crazy family.
You know those horror stories you hear about people who introduce their significant other to their families and it just goes horribly bad? No awkward introductions if there isn’t someone to introduce! No one for your crazy aunt to drive away. No one for your grandma to flirt with at Christmas dinner.
4. You can slack on personal grooming.
You can go three weeks without shaving your legs and no one will be there to complain.
5. You save a lot of money on valentine’s day.
Take that money you would’ve spent on flowers, chocolates, and dinner, and go buy yourself a nice bottle of wine (or three).
6. You have more time to focus on school and grades.
Netflix and chill? No thank you, I’ll take “A”s and No Distractions.
7. You are only committed to one person: yourself.
If you want to make a spur of the moment decision to take a road trip to California with your friends, the only person you have to get permission from if yourself. You want to cut your hair off and dye it? The only person you have to worry about liking it is you.
8. You don’t have to deal with drama and arguments.
The only arguments I have when I’m single is with myself about whether I should eat another piece of pizza or drink another glass of wine. Usually I’m pretty good at compromising with myself and end up doing both.
9. You don’t have to worry about anyone watching football while "Grey’s Anatomy" is on.
Thursday night football game on? Well that’s a shame because that TV in your living room is all yours and has a Grey’s Anatomy marathon playing on it.
10. The only person you need to focus on is yourself.
Everyone needs time to focus on themselves and make themselves the best they can be. When you’re single you can take that time to really improve all aspects of your life.
